wondering if rims with a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern will fit my 05 gto. Ive heard from some forums that even though that the difference between them nd the stock rims are very close, they still do NOT fit. this weekend i tried my friends c4 stock rims that have a 5 X 4.75 pattern nd they fit nicely. just curious about why that is.

They aren't perfect but tons of people use them. The difference isn't even a millimeter.

GTO's have 120mm spacing. 4.75" converted to mm is 120.65.
0.65mm difference won't matter.

To give you an idea of how much .65 mm is, the thickness of a dime is 1.30mm. So .65mm is half the thickness of a dime.

I'd be willing to say the factory tolerance on these wheels isn't that tight.
