I was just wanting to see how many people have these rims.
I got 18x8's front and 18x9.5's rear.
If you got any pics post em.
Anyway the reason is i have a friend who is on the forums and said that EVERYONE has these rims... i mean i dont care ( just alot of people have good taste like me lol) just curious how many there are.

How much do these weigh? I believe people went with the Thruxtons was the weight savings compared to the stock 17x8 or 18x8.

I never weighed them, but a 18x9.5 thruxton with a 275-35 is noticeably lighter than the stock 18" wheel with the stock 235.

I wouldn't say "everyone" has them...they are popular but ALOT more people have the AZA/Ruff wheels. Mine are only 18x8 all around, not the greatest pic.

I am also sporting the Thruxtons, same size as in your post. It is a lighter weight wheel compared to stock, but not nearly as light a weight that is out there. For the price, they are AWESOME. They look amazing on our cars. Just have to either do a brake upgrade or paint your rotor hat. My hat was all rusty and crappy, so painted it I did.

I'm running em too - I like them. I have my eyes open for something else though - there just isn't a lot of choices for good looking wheels on the GTO.

Wow there lighter then the stock rims??? ive always thought they were heavier. Does anyone have the wieghts of each?
And how did everyone make there 275 tires fit in the back.
Because as of right now. i have the 5/16 raise springs, bigbore shocks, rolled fenders, 6mm pedders insert, and they def still freaking rub. Driving me insane.

I've had mine for almost 2 years now, and I like them, but they do have issues. I have the 19" staggered set, and have a very hard time balancing them. They bend very easily if you hit a nasty pothole; here in NJ, the roads suck badly. Now over time, the clear coat on the lip is starting to chip (although I drive the car in the winter too, so the salt kills the finish). However, these rims look absolutely fantastic on these cars. IMO, it's worth these small headaches for the look of the rims. And they are a few pounds lighter than stock. I was thinking of stripping the clear coat off the lips, then polish them up some more.

I had them on mygoat, but I had to take off the 18x9.5 because they rubbed and I did not want to cut/roll fenders.
The 9.5s are actually still sitting in my garage I put 2 miles on them.

anybody with the staggered ones notice the fronts and rears are a different color? My front ones are a shade darker and it annoys the crap out of me.

Here's a buddy of mine's {cquist} goat when he had the Thruxton's in 18X8 and 18X9.5. BTW, these are with Toyo's up front and 275 BFG KDW2's out back.
