Hey guys, looking for some advice on how you all would go about this. My car was needing new rear tires. I picked up a pair of Eagle F1's off FinalTA since he was local and gave me a good price on them.

Anyway, headed over to the local performance parts place yesterday morning to have them mounted. This place doesnt have the best reputation for customer service, however a few of my friends work there and Im always taken care of on pricing. They had mounted the tires on the 20's for my truck without any issue, so I didnt have any doubts in my mind. :dunno:

I still had my salad shooters with ET Streets mounted on the car, sitting at home. I threw the stock wheels, and the new tires in the truck and headed over to get them dismounted, mounted and balanced. I dropped them off, and went into the lobby to hang out and talk to my buddies. A few minutes later the wheel and tire guy hollered at me, telling me they were done.

So I head home to swap them out, and clean the car up. When I open the tonneau on the truck Im shocked to see my wheels. On one wheel, three spokes are damaged, and on the other only one took the hit, although it was the most heavily damaged. Something used in mounting the tire, some sort of plate looks like it was resting on the face of the wheel. Its about an inch from the lip of the wheel, and follows the exact shape of the rim itself. I wouldnt really call it a scratch, its more like a deep gouge. The damage is about an 1/8" wide itself, and runs the length of each spoke damaged. Its deep enough your fingernails would get caught along it. And worse, it looks awful and is very noticable.

If you guys were in my shoes, what would you demand be done? Id imagine one of the wheel doctor type places could try fixing it, but I feel thats pretty halfassed. No guarantee its going to match perfect either. I bought this car in MINT condition, and it still is, besides these wheels.

Anyone know the part number for a stock 17" wheel? Id like to see how much they run. I feel like this place should offer to pay for another pair of wheels, or offer store credit in that amount towards new wheels of some sort. Is that out of the question to ask?

You need to take them back ASAP, they will make good by it, it happens sometimes, and they will take care of you if they have any customer service at all, If they don't take an afternoon and Picket in front of their place on the public sidewalk with the tire and wheel they damaged, the customers will stop and it will cost them more than they want to have in lost business.

Always check the wheels before you leave. They often try to pull some shady shit and say the damage was caused after you left. Good luck, I went through the same crap last year.
