Has anyone played Forza Motorsports for the XBOX yet? All I have to say is Wow... this game will make you forget about Gran Turismo... And you can can smoke a new Mustang with a GTO! :thumbs:

Actually who said anything about "piracy"... It is completely legal to mod your xbox or playstation. Myself, I will try out a game and if I like it, I will buy it. I should have chose better words to use in my first post. Just like this game. I will go out and buy it when it is released. I want to play on "Live". Just because you mod your system does not mean "piracy"... please remember that. There are a ton of different things you can do on a modded system besides play games.

That's why you get two xboxs or an xbox with a mod chip you can shut off... and actually nothing will happen to you. All that happens is the xbox you are using or have used online gets a electronic serial number banned from playing on live. Nothing happens to your account.

A lot of people have been banned from xbox live for getting caught with mod chips while playing Halo 2. Not cheating just have the mod chip.

Yeah I know what you mean. Not long ago Microsoft made some changes to their live system... Made it smarter in a sense now that if you have a different hard drive in your system and have the mod chip shut off... it will detect the hard drive being different and ban you. You should be safe if all you have is a chip and it is turned off.

And sorry I read your post wrong... their accounts are not getting banned... if they loaded their live account onto another "clean" xbox there account will work and be fine. Superchargers, turbos, complete engine swaps, overhauls, etc... you name it... it is on here. Very cool game.

No licenses but you do have to earn money to buy cars and upgrades. You can also earn money by racing on xbox live as well. Can sell and buy modded cars or stock ones for that matter online to other players... pretty cool stuff.

All the mods I am not sure... I think to actually buy the gto it took me... maybe 7-10 races to earn the money for it.

You can change all of those settings actually... I really don't think there is one thing they left out of this game. You'll like it.

another addicting game. Played for a few hours last night (on my legally modded xbox) and I love it. Havnt bought any cars yet but I have the AI turned up and most of the assists off (you win more money for a race that way) and if your car is equal to your rivals it will be a very hard race. All in all, Great game.

I actually bought that game, it is alot of fun, much more arcade like than Froza and GT4 but still really cool stuff you can do, dont have to do 26 inch rims or anything and my 1968 GTO has a huge blower coming out the hood, and you can change the dimensions of the car(with respect to tire width, sidewall height, lowering etc), so I have 355s out back and 225s in the front. Its a really fun game.

I have the opposite problem. I want to rent it, but blockbuster didn't have it when I went in yesterday to exchange my game(I have gamepass). I got psychonauts instead which is pretty cool game. Once I beat the game I'll be going back to look for forza :banghead:.

On a side note: Can anyone who has played the demo (there is one with 2005 printed on the disc) comment on how it compares to the final game?

Well, most people who play the game often will own more than just a GTO anyway, so as long as you have at least a GTO or a Camaro SS you can join. If possible, I'd like to only have people from LS1GTO.com meaning they'll most likely own a goat anyway, but if we can't get only LS1GTO members it wont be the end of the world. I'm the president of this club(which doesn't even have any members yet), not the dictator.

You can win a very early series and the prize is a Lexus. If you sell it you get $62000, that's how I got my ZO6. What I like about the damage is that it now affects the car unlike PGR2. I've only put about 2.5 hours in and I have 6 cars one of which is now at 801 HP. The game is fun, we should all race sometime.

I'm kind of dissapointed in how limited the engine mods for the GTO are.It needs more.I was getting lapped by a guy in a z06 on the test track like I was standing still.My GTO(in the game)has523 hp.That's max :confused:

the controller was a little cheap seat wise and ergonomically incorrect . I took a kirkey race seat and left it mounted on a seat track the removed the control part from the gamepac seat . now it is as good as it gets ( minus the real thing )

I have the demo and it almost caused me to not buy the game. For some reason, I could not keep the car from understeering off the road.

The actual game is 100% better. Even without a steering wheel you can control the game quite well. If anything, it seems they adjusted it alittle too much the other way where it seems somewhat unrealistic in its forgiving handling. But this does not take away from the game at all. I was playing GT4 before Forza came out and while GT4 is probably more simulation than Forza, I find Forza to be more enjoyable overall. At times, GT4 can feel almost like work. I never get that feeling with Forza.

Graphics on the GT4, especially the car models, are better. You can even see it in the replays where in GT4, you can clearly see the brake calipers on the moving cars, where in Forza, the brake calipers are not as distinct. But with no damage modelling, GT4 can feel like bumper cars when you bounce off other cars as the fast way around a turn.
