Hi there.
I ran over a nail, and I have a flat. I want to get the rear wheel off and it won't budge! I've removed all 5 lug nuts, jacked her up off the floor with about 1/2" clearance. This wheel will not move. I've tried pushing it, even hitting it with a rubber mallet. It's like it's glued on! Am I missing something? Is there some secret invisible GTO 6th lug nut?

HELP!!!

Kick it

That's what I had to do to get the 17"s off. It took a few kicks and then popped loose.

Rusted to the hub, use a rubber hammer.

yep, its just seized on the hub. give a nice kick on the top, then on the bottom. rinse and repeat until it comes off. then put some antiseize on the hub before you put the wheel back on

think that is hard, try changing the front rotors after beating on that tire for a while. it is the same process but much harder..... spin, hit, spin, hit etc

Mine came right off when I had my flat. But I agree with the rubber mallet idea.

i put a 2 x 6 over the back side and beat on it with a 5# hammer for quite a bit before it come off. i made sure i took all of them off after that and sanded and greased the hubs so it wouldn't do it again.

Mine were stuck when I changed my strut bushings. The fit of the wheels are a lot tighter than any other cars I've dealt with. As everyone else said...KICK IT!!!!

once you get the wheel off then wire brush/sand paper the hell out of the ring and contact points on the rotor to take the surface rust off. you can lube it slightly too, but a good sanding is suffucient if you take your wheels off bi yearly.

It's amazing how many people refuse/forget to do this important step!

i had the same problem, but just backoff the lugnuts a bit so that they are loose and then shook the car back and forth for a couple of times, and bingo the wheel broke loose.

Oh yeah it's frickin hell after a few years. I had an fbody one that required a massive 3 prong puller to get it off.
