I was just wondering who uses something like Fix-a-flat.

I have 2 N2O bottles in my spare tire well and after showing a friend, he thought I was crazy for taking the spare out and recomended fix-a-flat just incase.

Im not familiar with the product but does it ruin the rim? I dont wanna put this stuf in the tire and then when I get a new tire/replace it, have this stuff on my rim. Like I said, Im not really sure how it works.

Thanks for your help!

this stuff is very messy, probably won't completely ruin a rim, but will be very hard to clean it all out.

Foam goes everywhere but it works pretty good.(as longe as the hole is on the tread and not the side). It won't ruin anything that a good cleaning can fix.

I am sure you won't eat a hole in your rim. I actually wouln't not advise someone to take their spare out, but what ever. I live by the plug, I have had flat tires before and the plug has out lasted the tires. I always kept an eye on it though but they work great. Unless of course you have a hole in the sidewall then your screw no matter what.

yeha fix a flat will work, it wont ruin the rim you'll just have to clean it up real good like others said. i have roadside assistance on my car insurance just in case something like this happens on the way home from the track.

after you go with fix a flat thogh, idk if you can plug the tire and re use it. i think its for "emergency" situations. but im not totally sure.

For several years now, many exotic cars fore go a spare and include a can of similar stuff.

only bad thing is it will throw your wheel off balance over time if you dont repair it immediately. which could lead to rotor warping and so on.

another thing is it's flammable so tell whoever fixes it that you used it. it has gone poof on some people dangling ciggies or something
