View Full Version : color match the 18's??!!

i just finished up my shifter install and was on a test drive...long story short i curbed my factory 18's at a gas station. i was able to sand it down smooth but i'm having trouble matching up the paint. any suggestions would be great. thanks

I looked a bit more, but came up empty with the Thai Satin Silver.
Try your local auto store for the GM 340 touch up paint, and see if they also have it in the Duplicolor Spraycan.

man, i have been staring at pics of your car car for over a year now... i knew you were gonna say that! you were one of the 1st w/ the black 18's and i love how they look but there is someone in our nor cal herd that has them and he lives close so i want to do something different...

i am acually thinking of polishing them out. where i used the dremal to sand the curb rash they look nice and smooth under the paint. i polished my stock pony rims back in the day and swore i'd never do it again but.....not too many polished 18 goats out there.

ttt for anyone w/ 1 factory 18 for sale w/o tire. slight curb rash/ scratches ok.

I picked up a bottle of NG GM 501 Galaxy Silver at Kragen to touch up the curb marks on my 18s. Seems to match pretty well. You don't notice it until you look hard up close.
