I'm wondering if I can fit a 25MM spacer on the rear (Triming the fender) so that it sits flush with the fender.

Are you rubbing on the inside?

25mm is almost 1 inch. I don't see how it will possibly fit unless you use skinny tires.

no, but I have an more of an inch of room to the fender even with the camber straight.

I'd just like to move the wheel out further for looks in this case

Ok, so you have stock sized tires too?

One thing you got to remember is there is less clearance when the spring is compressed, like under hard acceleration or hitting a big bump.

If you used a grinder to remove all of the fender lip, that should gain you close to 1/2" of extra room. It might work. Is there a slightly thinner spacer available?

running 245/40's right now, will be bumping up to 255/40's once i get my 18x8.5's

The reason I was thinking 25MM is there are 25MM spacers that come with their own studs.

I'm well aware of what happens when a spring compresses ;)

There's a guy (JayC's G, i think) who widened his stockers and tried fitting a 1/2" spacer and it rubbed the lip, he ended up using 1/4" spacers instead.
EDIT: found the thread... http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1135 81&highlight=widened

I had 3/8" spacers with essentially stock wheels and even with the quarter panel lips fully cut the clearance was a little too close for comfort so I dropped back to 5/16". Mind you, my tires are a tad too big for the wheels and over hang the face about 3/8".

...Oh, the car is lowered too.

Just go on ebay and buy a couple pairs of cheap spacers to experiment with; I spent maybe $25-30 on cheapo's. Once you determine the correct size have Skulte make a good pair.
