Just looking for a pair of rims to throw some 275/50/15 Mickies on....
I've got a local friend who has them. They work great and he has the Weld center caps on them so they look like the real deal lol. The only downside is that they're a bit heavier than the real Prostars.

i was also thinking about ordering those let me know how they work out. How much lighter are they than stock 17? and i was wanting the 15x5 on front if you have the part number of that wheel also

I would also like to know if these will just bolt on? Will these need any spacers to make them fit correct? Shoot guys we should get together and see if we can get a group buy on these suckers.

The 15x8 w5.5bs will fit with no problems, except that the 275 M/T will bulge out a little over the rim and stick out past the fender lip.
IMO, a better choice would be a 15x10 with 7.5 bs. The 275 fits better on a 10" wheel imo. I put this size (weld draglites), on the back of my goat with the 275 m/t. Took just a little work to make it fit, but was well worth it. Install thread here--> http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1226 47&page=25
(scroll down). also page 24 of thread.
As far as putting a 15x5 on the front, I don't think that a 15 will clear the front brakes on the 05-06. I believe a 4" wide rim is as wide as you can go before contacting the caliper.
They fit, my friend has an 06 SRM and he uses them with MT DR's. I'd have to ask him about the specifics of it though.

Looks like these are a nice set of rims that WILL work great with 275/50or60 R15 M/T's as per the M/T site http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item= ETStreetRadial

275's are very wide on the MT's.
P255/60R15 would be a better choice to avoid any issues.
But let me get this straight, these summit wheels do fit on the rears with no issues? If so great!

Dudes these things are the best mod i have done to date omfg i just took the car around the block with the new tires & man o man i didn't have one single problem this set up was made for the car i bumped the bags up to 20 psi but since they are like 1/4 of an inch shorter & 1/4 of an inch wider i am sure i don't need that much air in the bags but whatever so for all you people who were not sure about these.. THEY ARE A GO!!! : ) I will be at the track with them this Friday so lets hope for a 12.5 woot woot

How heavy do they feel?
Now you just need two spare wheels for the fronts with different tires.

For those considering a set of pro-stars, such as myself, may be interested to know that I called Greg Weld Motorsports yesterday. They are expecting inventory on their Dragstar wheels in the 17" sizes this month. Meaning they could be shipping to customers in about 2 months. They have a 17x4.5 and a 17x9.5 for about $190each that I will be waiting to get for my goat. However, the real trick will be finding a tire to fit those 17x4.5's. M&H has some front runners but ill want a true radial on mine. visit gregweld.com for more info

those are pretty sweet...i went with the 15's to get some more sidewall...help cushion a little bit of the shock when launching..
One thing I have to say..i got my hooser 275/50/15 mounted on the summit star 15x8 rim and its alot lighter then the stock rim and tire. Its way lighter compared to the stock 17" with the nitto drag radial.
It does stick out past the fender a little bit...rolling the lip in wouldnt make a difference but I got drag bags so no worries there.
ALSO, the 275 hoosiers are not too wide for the 15x8 rim at all. They fit it quite nice. I took some pics and will try to get them on here tonight if I can.
