I just placed an order for the Hoosier 275/50/r15 drag dot approved drag tires (they were out of the M/T's)
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?Ntt=27 5%2F50r15&N=700+115+400343&Ntk=KeywordSearch
They will be going on a set of star 15x8 rims http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part= SUM%2D521%2D5862PS&view=1&N=700+4294923107+4294923106+4294923105+4294793325+ 4294795010
I know it is the minimum rating size rim for the Hoosier but will i be able to make these puppys fit with a little modification to the inner wheel well & the shock's & the fenders? If not they will be shipped on monday so i have a day to cancel the order. Thanks always guys

you will likely need to roll the fenders running 275's. I can't say for sure though.
255-265 is really the max if you want to not touch your fenders at all.

Shouldn't have any problem on the inside of wheelwell, and since you have dragbags you shouldn't have to roll or grind the fenders. I didn't.

"I just ordered these, will they fit?"
I think you're getting your order of operations mixed up! :p
To answer your question, you shouldn't have any problem. At the very worst, you will just need to roll your fenders which is no big deal. There are a few rollers on here available for rent right now.

lol. i thought the same thing.
they should fit. drag springs would help, but you have bags so that should do about the same... maybe some fender rolling or cutting, but probably will be fine.

I run 275's without any rubbing at all....thats even if I lower my drag bags down to 5psi or lower....but I am looking to do what you just did...get those rims and those tires...

I would like to hear from someone who actually has these wheels and how they fit.

well they have the exact same specs as the weld wheels...its just summits brand....i dont think they are as light as the welds...but if you check summits site for these compared with the welds...all the specs are the same...so I dont see why they wouldnt work...
Im just wondering if what kinda clearance issues there will be with the 275/50/15's on them...im looking to doing the same setup but im still doin some research on it.

Dudes these things are the best mod i have done to date omfg i just took the car around the block with the new tires & man o man i didn't have one single problem this set up was made for the car i bumped the bags up to 20 psi but since they are like 1/4 of an inch shorter & 1/4 of an inch wider i am sure i don't need that much air in the bags but whatever so for all you people who were not sure about these.. THEY ARE A GO!!! : ) I will be at the track with them this Friday so lets hope for a 12.5 woot woot
