I know the bolt pattern for our cars is 5x120mm. What I'm thinking of doing is taking each hub off and drilling 5 new holes (as far away from the existing stud holes as possible) to match the 5x114.3 specs.
Only reason is there is a HUGE variety of aftermarket wheels with the 114.3 bolt pattern. Most of them are much more affordable, and plentiful because it's a common bolt pattern for imports.
Will the hubs be weakened too much by having more holes drilled in it? If so, can I cut the stud threads off and just leave the heads inplace for reinforcement?
This is just a crazy idea I had, and NO, I'm not drunk...yet. It may be stupid to some, but I thought I'd get some opinions before I did something...well, dumb!
[flame suit is on because I know the ricer comments are coming!]
