There is alot of info on this particular tyre size, P275/40ZR17 and how to roll the fenders and what not. But the people who are using these tyres and making post are leaving out the wheel offset info on the wheels they are using. At least I have been unable to find it. What is the most successful offset and wheel size to minimize rubbing and fender rolling issues?

It depends on how wide the wheel is...

Section width would be about 10.7 on a 9 inch wheel. I was looking at the BFGoodrich G-Force KDW 275/40ZR17

I have 275/30/18 on a 10" Drift R. those rims have a 51 offset and my car is dropped 1/2", but I had to grind my quarters quite a bit to fit them
the extra work needed to fit the BFGs was still worth it. they are a great tire

generally most off the shelf 9.5" wheels will be around 45mm offset.
but making those tires fit with a 45mm offset its that hard as long as you not lowered. if you are lowered, probly gonna need to find a higher offset

Yeah the KDW's are wide. In some models I have seen 3/4" wider than other tires of the same size.

I'm running KDW 275-40-17's on widened stock wheels. They have 1" added to the inside. I'll admit I had to hit the inner fenders in a couple of spots to get it clearanced. No rubbing now.
I was at a gas station one day and another GTO pulled in. He went inside and when he walked back out, all of a sudden he stopped, looked at the back of my car and said "holy sh-- what size tires are those?"

I was running a 17x9 +50mm with 275/40 MT Drag Radials and Eibach .8" drop springs (now using Pedders 1/2 drop due to the Eibachs eventual sagging)...only rolled the fenders and have no rub inside or out.
