You can use http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp to look at the specs you would need. I'm thinking 5.5 bs for the front and 7.25 or 7.5 for the rear.

I would still want to be able to take a corner without fearing the front will wash out. Plus the 7 inch wide one doesn't come in the correct/close enough backspacing.

Looks like what I've been looking for. Know for sure what the 17x8s weigh? I'd like to run these on all 4's if they are light. Been looking for a lightweight 17" 5 star. These seem to fit the bill. Just need to know how much they weigh!

The 17x8 will only work in the front with a smaller than stock size tire due to the backspacing it's offered in. A 17x8 with 5.5 bs is essentially a 27mm offset. Which means anything bigger than a 215 or 225 tire in front and it will stick out past the fenders.
If I remember this week I'll call them up and get weights for them. .
You could also get the 17's front and back and then also get a set of 15x10's with slicks or drag radials for the track. That way the style of rim matches no matter what.

Eh crap. I want 17s with stock size tires at all 4 corners. Can't believe that's so hard to find in a lightweight 17" wheel that looks good!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I feel ya man. Try calling Billet Specialties up and see what they offer that would work. A 17x8 in a 6" to 6.25" backspacing(+40 to +45mm offset) would be perfect for what you want.
Or you could put four 17x9.5's on it with 255/40r17 on all four with a 7" backspacing.
