I was going to sell my 17's and then decided to use them afterall but am going to put M/T ET streets in 275/40/17 so I don't have to store/run the car on skinnies.

That being said, who is running these on the street? We are not talking long distance here and maybe once a month driving if that. Just to shows and such. I would imagine i can get decent life out of them with that kind of driving regimen. Oh yeah and HOT and DRY weather conditions only.....my car doesn't see bad weather. I just get tired of seeing the multitude of retards in mustangs and the like around here that I could put into their place because they drive like dicktards all the while my goat sits up on the trailor just begging to come out to play....

Any problem running these with nitto 555ZR street radials?

I run ET streets, no issues at all....but stay away from water.

In the summer I've been running the Nitto drags and the nitto 555ZR in the front. Not bad for straight line but the Nitto drags appear to have a softer side wall so they tend to wander some on fast turns.

How long and estimated life span (mileage). I know it depends on driving style. Again though I have stated the use for my application.

I wouldn't think you would have a problem there because the tread pattern between the 555ZR's and 555R's are pretty much dead on. Big difference between the 555ZR's and M/T ET's though...

On a side note, M/T needs to get their shit together. I just called a local shop and they are out of the 15's ( I know there are other stores I can get them from around the US but I like to support my local shop so they don't go by the wayside) and M/T is having another backorder problem...

i have some and ran them on my car for a short period. i took them off because they turned the rear of my car black every time i drove it. they're just too soft for regular driving and will wear fast. since i'm not too keen on street racing, it made better sence to save them for the track.

I hear you but the problem I have is with most regular street radials I have used, I just shred them if I get into the gas. I need something that I can give it some gas and will actually hook. Nothing is worse than just some friendly playing around with someone and next thing you know they take off and your going sideways into the person that was behind them!

for your driving stlye, the et streets should work fine for you. I just got mine like 3 weeks ago, and ran them on the street for about 2 weeks, just city driving. You don't drive them in the rain, so you should be fine. Mine would hook awesome, even without a burnout or anything, just stick it and go.

3k to 5k on a DD set of E.T. streets, I have also made 3 trips of 200+miles with no Issues.. Do not get caught in the rain though..

I'm running Nitto 555ZR in front and Nitto DR's in the rear on my 03 Cobra, they grip very well in a straight line and around corners, not to mention they last a pretty long time:)...

Your rear tire pressure must be low because the rear end on my car sticks like glue, no matter how fast I corner:turbonaug...

Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone have any similar experience with BFG drag radials?

I'm looking to get some stickies for the back and Nittos I hear run a little narrow and don't stick as well at the track. But the M/T's stick awesome at the track, but wear pretty quickly. So, I thought maybe the BFG drag radials would be a fair compromise?

No?, Yes?, Experiences?

I use'em DD. Only way to have any traction on the street. They seem to last as long as the nitto's. 5-7k.

I tried using BFG DR's for daily driving. I only live 11 miles from work on country roads. They were to rough for the tread and I only got 1200 miles out of them. Only a couple of burnouts and no track passes at all. I want to try the Mickey's or Nitto's next.

Found a good deal on nitto 555r's and went with them. I really love my hoosiers for the track but they are soft as hell and one drive up the road on the hoosiers practically tore the labeling off without any burnouts or anything like that.

Good choice, you won't regret it.

BTW, how much did you get them for???

I use MT ET Street Radials on the street not sure how long they last, but its the one way to drive 660+ rwhp safely on the street.

I wouldn't honestly recommend them for much street use. They are an awesome tire, and perform great on the track and street, but they wear quickly because of how soft the compound is. The worst thing is that you know about every piece of gravel that you run over. EVERYTHING that you run over sticks to these tires and you hear it flying all around inside the wheel well for several seconds after. I've followed behind other cars in their drag radials and you have to keep your distance because they fling up all of that stuff too. May not bother you, but will surely bother the car behind you if they don't care to have their pelted with debris.

I've used them several times on the street in the past and don't have any other issues with them. Was caught in the rain in Tampa and Bradenton back in January and that was a slippery nightmare... DON'T get caught in the rain with these!

If you get caught in the rain with M/t's you will have some issues(trust me). IMO the Nitto's are the only way to go if you plan on driving it daily. I drive with my Nitto DR's in the rain(the occasional monsoon t-storm here as well), as long as you drive with some sense you will be ok. Iv driven an fbody in the rain with M/t's and it was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!
