...but instead of thinking in terms like this...

"Man this $400 I am spending on _______ could get me a nice dyno tune on the GTO!"

I am now thinking in terms of

"Man this $400 I am spending on this tune could get me a (see choices)!"

a. New G27, 19, 26, etc.
b. Ton of ammo
c. a little pocket mouse gun
d. couple hours of indoor range time
e. tons of outdoor range time
f. a couple more high-cap magazines

In the same boat :(

~$800 could get me the clutch I need for the GTO

OR almost 2 of these:

1) mossberg tactical 12gauge w/carbon fiber telescoping stock/grips and door buster barrel
2) XD40
3) Another Glock (26,27 etc)
4) carry piece for the wife
5) cheap/decent AR
6) 2000 more rounds of 7.62x39 and 2000 rounds .223 or less of those and some 9mm/.40 SW ammo
7) 2 more Aks

Its just as addicting as GTO parts :(

I have been in the same mindset lately. Thankfully I just got a new job where I can do both....:)

For myself, I'm going for repair parts for the guns/mags that I have and more ammo...

It's obvious you guys don't have enough hobbies. Throw motorcycles, or RC cars, or I suppose even hookers & blow into the mix & watch your choices multiply.

"I want __________ for the goat."
"but I need a tire for the Yammiehaw."
"ooh, here's a good price on SKS ammo, wait is that a tin or Garand ammo for $xxx?"
"Just put a RC hop up kit & jug of nitro on the credit card, that bill will hit by next payday."
"the shakes start; gotta go get _________"
& so on...

I sort of do the same. At this point I have all the suspension/bolt on things I want done. I figured I'd get them out of the way while they were still cheap a few years ago. Last thing is a cam, but LSx cams will be around for cheap for a long time.

Who knows where guns and ammo will be this time next year.

more expensive to own and operate, just as much as anything else...
