Just like the title says, anyone have one? I'm a cop in Baltimore County, Maryland and I'm looking to get one to carry off-duty. My service weapon, a SigPro 40 cal is way to big and its really heavy. I like the M&P compact cause its small and the 40cal is nice cause my Police Dept. will supply me with ammo free of charge. I welcome all feedback, both positive and negative, and if anyone knows of a place to get a good deal on one let me know. Cheapest place around me is Bass Pro Outdoor World and they Want $579.00 for the gun and two magezines.

alot of places offer leo discounts for weapons. www.budsgunshop.com usually has some good deals going as well. a friend of mine has the mp40 subcompact and a good shooter. a couple other weapons to consider that small might be a hk p2000, xd, glock, just to name a few. there is a good selection out there to choose from. get with some of your buddies from work and ask then what they have and go to the range with them and figure out what fits you best, everyone is different.
