So right now I am running staggered Toyo proxes T1-S with my 19" Drift R's. I just turned 10k and the inside of ALL my tires have next to no tread left. I recently got an alignment, but it was too late. I bought the wheel/tire set up off a guy that was selling his goat. They were in good shape at the time, but I have no idea if they were balanced correctly. I was going to buy a second set of 18" wheels with matching all-season tires all the way around, but I just can't afford it right now. My current set up is:
Rear: 275/30/19
Front: 245/35/19
My concern is that I live in southern Arizona. We see no snow, yet have a nasty monsoon season at the end of the summer, for about 2-3 months. I was originally going to purchase that extra set for a trip to Kansas City this December. My Toyo's would do terribly in this situation.
What I am planning to do now is buy a set of all season performance tires for my current set up, and just run them year round. Here's the two tires I am looking at (I am limited to what will fit the rear):
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?ratio=3 0&diameter=19&sortCode=&displayResults=20&RunFlat=All&sortValue=4&startIndex=0&resultsNumberSelected=Y&filterGoWhere=Compare1&compareList=&width=275%2F&goWhere=%252Ftires%252FCompare1.jsp&compare=true&filterType=all&search=true&startIndex=0&performance=UHPAS&x=43&y=6
The list includes Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and Pirelli PZero Nero M&S (the Bridgestone Pole Positions are on a nation-wide back order for this size.) Am I going to be happy with either one of these? I read they are both kinda soft around corners...and I love corners. I usually have my TC off and love to drift corners...which has led to chunking and cracking of my toyos. Any thoughts on a good all around tire?

Need to figure out why all your tires wore on the inside before you drop that kind of cash! My guess is springs? My rears wore the same way. I got some pedders 0 drop and it raised the rear where it should be per factory specs. Have not noticed any wear on my rear with the new tires. I replaced my stockers with General UHP tires...I have stock 18 on my 06. The ride improvement is 1000% better! Can barley hear the tires at interstate speeds...Great grip on dry AND wet roads...They seem to handle fairly better than the stockers. I have heard that people with 17's say the side wall is too soft. May be true, but with my 18's I have not noticed this as much.....Oh ya,,and those tires are the amoung the cheapest tires you will find too!

You think the springs would be covered as a warranty issue? This POS pontiac dealer out here will probably void my warranty because of the aftermarket 19's. I should have the dealership check it out this weekend. I thought it was the alignment, but that didn't help at all. I don't have the cash to drop on new springs.

For tires I wuld get the Seissemens (sp) I just switched to these, their cheaper than the Proxi's, and from what I'm hearing, better tires and longer lasting. Still awesome tread for any kind of driving.

Goodyear F1 all-seasons FTW!
Do a search, you'll find this sentiment echoed by everyone who drives on them.
IMHO, by far the best performance and value.
Good luck

B!tch loud enough and they will replace them,,but then your getting the same junk that came with your car,,,probably a 50/50 shot they wont go bad either?
Alignment will not help because there is NO camber adjustment from the factory for the rears.

Yeah, that's what Sears told me when they did my alignment. They said that the camber could not, and should not be adjusted on this type of car. So, I am getting EXTREMELY uneven tire wear, especially in the rears. My Toyo Proxes T1-S rears have 8k miles on them and I have about an inch of steel belt showing on the inside, with virtually untouched outside tread.
I just ordered some Pirelli PZERO NERO M&S all season performance tires from Big O.... $1350 frikkin dollars (with all the extras). I am hoping that these will wear better. They told me that the summer performance tires...especially these Toyos...are not known for there longevity, especially with the way I drive.

The only Vredesteins (according to their website) that fit my rears are the Sessantas. And they are a high performance summer tire at $321 a pop. They do look badazz though, but definately not all season.

Just got Goodyear F1 all season 2 weeks ago. got a really good grip in the rain. just to let you know, the f1's run wider than other brands of the same spec (i.e. 245-40-18)
i had to use a used potenza on my rear while i ordered a replacement and there was a significant difference in widths even though both were 245's. between our florida rain and heat these tires are worth it by and far.

I appreciated the help guys, but as you can see, I already made a decision.
I just ordered some Pirelli PZERO NERO M&S all season performance tires from Big O....
I wish I could have waited, but my car is undrivable right now and I need new tires immediately. I need groceries and sh!t, and there is only so much you can do on a motorcycle.
From what I have read, the tires I purchased, although a tad expensive, are definately worth the money and I should be happy with them.
Hopefully my tread will wear evenly with properly balanced tires and a fresh alignment. :popcorn2:

BTW, everyone trying to pimp the Goodyear F1's....yes, they appear to be a great tire. However, neither Tire Rack nor Big O tires carry or have access to these tires in a 275/30/19
Thanks though. I'da got them if they were available.

So an update, just in case anyone is interested and reads this. I just had my staggered set of Pirelli PZERO NERO M&S tires put on. I was a little skeptical at first, because they seemed like they had pretty aggressive tread for an "Ultra High Performance" all season tire.
I have got about 50 miles on them now and they are really great. Haven't had them over 60mph yet, but in and around town handling is superb. I have taken some fast corners and they do not roll at all, and do not break loose...unless you force them. Plus, compared to my Toyo Proxes T1-S summer tires, they handle bumps in the road like a dream. With 19's, I was feeling EVERYTHING in the road, but these tires absorb alot and I no longer come to a complete stop before speed bumps and the dreaded Southern Arizona drainage canals.
