Ok, I've done a a pretty decent search regarding tire / wheel sizes for going to 18" tires, but I'm still not sure what to go with. I have the stock 17" wheels on right now but recently saw a GTO with some 18" wheels and was really impressed. It seems to make the car look meaner. The 17's just don't look right on such a bad ass car. All the talk about offset, inset and whatever else confuses me (I read the sticky). I just want to get some black 18" wheels and tires that don't rub anything and hopefully won't affect my speedo. It's hard for me to believe that some have 19's when there is little to no room as it is under the fender.

If the proper tires are used, the amount of clearence doesnt change. Thats why you have to use a lower profile tire when you increase wheel size.

I have 275s on a 19in wheel that dont rub without any modification to make them fit

19s will fit easy if you have the right offset and wheel width. You can get a little more crazy with some fender rolling.

If you don't want to mess with any of that, just contact a vendor (VQ Motoring is really helpful) tell them what you want and they'll tell you the correct sizes.

My $0.02, 19s really make this car look good. Fits the fender well perfect.
