Was at papa's shop in Queens, NY today balancing and swapping tires on newly bought stock 18's. When we were done with one tire, we stuck them outside the shop. Nearly every (seriously, 9/10) people came over and looked at them, some nodding and others coming up to me and complimenting them. I even had two guys come up to me and asked if they were for sale. One guy was offering me 2K but he found out it was the wrong lug pattern for his car. I think the fact that they're Enkei's made him think they were somewhat high end wheels :p Oh, and center caps ... keep those in good condition, if you need new ones they list for $115 O_O

Could not agree more.

I can't tell you how many times I've been prepared to pay $3k+ for a new set of wheels and tires, but I can never justify it because the stock 18s look so damned good and actually FIT. I'll probably never change them, it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

I love the 18" stockers, too bad everybody else does. (I'm not paying $1000 for stock wheels)

I had them and the only reason I git rid of them is cause they were too narrow, and everyone always asked me if I were going to get rims for my car.....I was like uh these are different than what comes stock(04) and I'm not changing them

Each time I see your car...I just think you've GOT to be up to no good :)

One of our St. Louis members has polished 18's, and they look great...but I'd hate to do it myself, and hate to pay someone to do it. They also look much more difficult to take care of than painted.

I like the stock 18s as well. If I was gonna keep the car I probably would have put on a set of black chrome ones.

I'm not a huge fan of them painted, but in stock form, they are one of the best looking wheels for the GOAT. I'll be getting mine widened within the next few months.

The only reason mine will be coming off in a few months is so I can put them back on... for car shows in 30-years. ;)

I originally hated black painted wheels. But after picking up a set off of craigslist with the intent of flipping them, I haven't been able to take them off the car. Mine are gloss black with a silver lip and I constantly get PM's from stranger complimenting them and inquiring about them. They look much better in person than they do in pictures on the internet.

Sorry but I bought them already finished. They are just painted. I would recommend going powder coated because as good as the paint looks, its a little delicate for the application. Even my stock painted wheels had blemishes from rocks, but the silver hides it well. With the black, everything shows up. Heres a closeup of mine:

Oh and Livevil, I'm not sure if you saw my response in the other thread, but your AZA 19's were looking fantastic on your TR. My gf and I thought they looked amazing.
