will these tires fit stock 17's?

My sister in laws giving me a set of barely used snow tires she had on her lexus IS 300 before she sold it back. Problem is they are either 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 (car came with both sizes, not sure which ones she has)

anyway i was wondering if these tires would be too small to fit on OEM 17 inch rims. I Know we can go wider than stock tires, but not sure how narrow we can go. Just need to know if its worth buying a used set of OEM 17's.

if not, does anybody know a cheap set of rims that would fit our bolt pattern and these tires? I really dont care what they look like as they will only be used in winter when cars look like shit anyway haha.

both are small they mihgt get um to fit the 8" width but they are gonna be stretched pretty good , curbs and rock will become your enemy

that's what I was thinking too. well Im still open to wheels ideas if anybody has any off the top of their heads. I srsly dont even care what they look like, id get plain jane steal rims if they'd fit haha.

I believe the 225 will fit, not sure if the 215 would be too small.

look for a 6 1/2" or a 7" wide wheel
