Well I recieved my set of FZ6s from Goatalicious today (thanks!), and took them to get put on. Turns out dumb me didn't realize that the stock tires didn't fit, so I ended up buying a new set of tires (Said goodbye to the fund I saved up for the RKSport Hood and spoiler). They're the Goodyear SP Sportmaxx Tires and they're pretty damn nice. I'm surprised though that the 18" barely fit, heh I gotta watch out for speed bumps now though. But the car drives so smooth, and I love the new wheels. I've spent too much money and need to stop now lol.

I showed the pics to my friend, and he reminded me that I should take it into pontiac and have them check the speedo cause I went up an inch, didn't remember that til he said so. That'll be fun, i'll just have them look at it when they fix my damn passanger seat.

Anyways here are pics:

They look really good, especially on that purple color. I like 'em. Don't you have more pics though?

these are only ones right now, won't get more till i wash/wax and detail the car

i really want the rksport hood and spoiler :(

but yea i figured the chrome would accent the purple, and it worked just right. it's too bad the 427s i got didn't look right, oh well

What size tires did you put on? If you put the correct size tires on (245/40R18), there's no need for speedo recalibration. However, those tires look huge, looks like you put 245/45R18s on which is too big of a tire...

yea they are 245/45R18s... they're barely rubbing too from what they told me, the back is really close and if i go fast over speed bumps i can feel it rub, i gotta be careful

they also told me good luck if i ever decide to lower the car which i don't plan to lol

Why would you go that tall? The correct size is 245/40R18. I'm surprised you don't have strut rub with that tall of tire, or fender corner rub on really hard turns. Also need to watch out for ABS problems.

What can happen to the ABS ?

Any problems going the other way, like 1" smaller than stock ?

Those tires are one size to big. You really needed a 245/40-18 to keep the same rolling diameter. The tire guys should have known that you were going Plus 1 on this wheel.

Wheels look great! I got mine installed late. I will get some pics Saturday!

I see wheels and tires... not one picture of a pair of shoes in this whole thread!

I have some Chrome Dada Chris Webber shoes (pair 380 out of 1000.. size 10) if you're looking for a glossy finish.

Looks good, but I would hate to have to clean them.

Those look good on Purple!!! Yep, those tires are a bit on the tall side, not much though. You dont need to go to the dealer to find out how much your speedo is off. Just to a google search and there are plenty of tire size calulators out there to tell you the amount you are off. If you dont have that many miles on 'em see if the tire place will let you swap them for 40s rather than 45s.

If your speedo indicates 60mph, you are actually traveling 62.3mph.

Forgive me but I love those wheels and would like more information. Who is Goatalicious? FZ6 is the wheel brand? Input, Need Input...

They're MC2 FZ6, I thought most of the guys on the board here hate chrome... http://mc2ning.com/Pontiac/fz6.html#

I guess the tire guys didn't know, but it hasn't posed any problems so far, will it really hurt my ABS in the long run?

Update, I called Good Year and informed them what they told me and the guy basically shit himself and said I can't believe we over looked that, he did some research and they don't make the tires I bought in my size apparently, so he's ordering in some Dunlop Sport 9000s and gonna exchange em for free. I gotta wait till Weds though to get them but they're free. And I just did the calculations, the tires i'm gonna get are actually more expensive. lol

This wouldn't be possible without your guy's help! Thanks!

I don't normally like those wheels but on the purple they do look good.
To bad your tire guys didn't know what they where doing your car should have 245/40/18

Very very nice. These are the wheels I want. I've always liked the chrome, I think it sets off a dark colored vehicle nicely. Anybody with photoshop able to put these on a black goat? Again, very nice looking! :hail:
