Well, I currently have Nitto's (245/40/18) and I enjoy them rather much, but but they seem to be wearing rather rapidly. I have always put Michelins on all my other vehicles with nothing but postive luck. Anyone have any experience with the Michelin Pilots? I hear (from a neighbor) they are a decent tire, but may be overprice a bit. Thoughts?

Those Pilots are expensive. I came up with $240 a piece doing a quick search.

I suppose my question is, are they worth it? There is that saying: "You get what you pay for." but that is not always true, sometimes you dont get what you pay for. I did a quick search on ebay (my new best friend) and found these: ebay Michelin Pilot Sports (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V iewItem&rd=1&item=7977516815&category=66476)

I suppose these may be worth it if you can steel them for the right price

The Michelin Pilot Sport is a good product, but the Pilot Sport PS2 is better, as is the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, which is what I have on my personal car and is OE on the Ferrari ENZO. I sell tires for a living and will be glad to get you a great price on whatever tire you like.

No. They will probably wear faster than your nittos, and don't posess significantly better performance.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll need to do some research on the Bridgestone Potenza. Thanks for the offer on the deal! I may take you up on it :)

I have the Bridgestone Pole Positions and they are good tires. I have the BFG KDW2's on my SS and I might lean toward those myself.

I placed a bid on these, heck if I can get 'em for a decent price it'd be worth it, I emailed the fella sellin' 'em about that reserve price and it is set at $300.00 for all 4, thats only $75/tire and I would have to believe them tires are at least worth that.
