Like the title says. How are they in the rain? I live in FL and in the summer get a ton of rain. But I want these on my stock wheels for the Procharger...
Thoughts?

Also what kind of mileage are you guys getting out of them?
I've had them on two other cars, 96 WS6 and 89 TTA. The WS6 I drove in everything but snow and it was fine. Got 15K miles out of them before they wouldn't pass VA inspection. The TTA got 13K but a screw in the sidewall took them out early. Still had plenty of life left.
They are fine in the rain but I wouldn't push them to hard since the tread is already reduced to start with.

did you do alot of highway driving? I am worried about driving on the highway in the rain with them, and also wearing them down fast on the highway! This is my option to getting wheels. I was originally going to get the DRs for my stock wheels for drag and 18s for street use. But all the wheels I am interested in are out of my budget or backordered a while!

They'll do "okay" on damp pavement and low speeds due to their compound, but their shallow tread depth means they won't and can't evacuate standing water like a regular high performance summer tire. They are still better than BFG or MT drags, but would be equivalent to driving on worn regular tires. I'd be concerned about hydroplaning at speeds above 50 mph if you are driving through a heavy downpour. I use Kuhmo V700 Ecsta Victoracers on my Firehawk all around (sticky road race compound), and have had some white knuckle experiences when driving through rain on tires with shallow tread depth.
There's my $.02... :)

But all the wheels I am interested in are out of my budget or backordered a while! They usually last a year with those miles and track days. I used to regularly drive in the rain at normal highway speeds and they were fine. Towards the end of their life, I slowed it down because I was worried of hydroplaning but it never got close to that.
Maybe I'm super cautious? Don't know. The only problem I ever had with them was driving in snow. They are terrible. Only took one time to be caught in that, never tried or want to do that again.

well, I ordered them this morning! I will have them on tomorrow. I am already quite cautious in the rain. so I think I will be fine. I just have to have something back there to help me get the power to the ground with the procharger!
ask Padre how they do in the rain. check out his post from last month.

I felt OK with Nitto DRs in the rain, but I'm a little gunshy with any DRs in the rain nowadays. My MT DRs absolutely should not be driven in the rain or even a damp road.

Traction Control won't save you if you hydroplane, regardless if you are accelerating, keeping a constant pace, or decelerating. Once your tires leave the surface of the road and get up on a plane of water, get ready for a potentially wild ride!

Been there. Done that. Staring a trucker eye to eye at 65mph, me going backwards on the interstate, he coming at me. I suppose "wild ride" is a good description.

I have been running them for a few months now. We just had a bunch of storms hit us in West Palm Beach , tires held up pretty well in the heavy rain on the interstate.
