Well, I just had the Nitto DRs installed out back on my GTO in a 275/40/17 along with Nitto 555 245/45/17 tires up front.

This thing hooks like its nothing. With my stock tires I could spin the 1-2 shift hard, and get a little squirley. Also the 2-3 shift even had alot of spin, now I have yet to even hear a chirp on a hard 1-2 shift. These things are my best mod yet! This was without even warming up the tires. Now we will see how much abuse they can take!

I highly recomend these to anyone looking for new tires.

oh yeah, one more thing: on a first gear roll with a punch I used to lag and get a little spin, and acceleration was slow, but now with the new tires it just goes. I feel like I already picked up 2/10s on my 60ft! w00t :burnout:

I just got mine last week and today was the first time I really had a chance to try them out driving around. I noticed that they get very sticky after driving around for a while. I hear the sand and road pebbles getting kicked up in the wheel wells. But the biggest thing I noticed is how much they grab the road. I can still chirp them, but it takes a little more effort to do it. They just grab and the car just pulls, plus the shifts are smoother. I was practicing my launches and was very pleased the way it grabs and the way the car takes off. I can't wait till I go to the strip and try them out.

got mine on my auto 04...didn't really ahve a lot of spin of the line with stock tires, but its dead hooked now. I got them for my nitrous, which when it kicks on at 3000 rpm in 1st gear used to kill the tires hard, now it hooks pretty well on the Nittos if I heat them up at the line.

Cheap too...I paid $320 out the door at discount tire locally (mounted balanced, etc).

Got em for the STS, damn good thing. I can still roast em, but normal driving is smooth like butter. Even in the rain they are working very well.

I am running 3.91's w/stock rubber and I am spinning all the way up an 1/8 mile track 1-2 2-3......... Wife video taped it & we could actually see the car spin and loose momentum on shifts.

I'm thinking adding some real rubber may be my next mod.

I am going to have to pass on that buffer though ... baby likey likey hand jobs only

I used to be a firm believer in hand waxing/polishing only. I bought the buffer for one time use on a friends Dads truck for him, its what he wanted. So I gave it a shot on my car and WOW, way better than any handjob I have ever seen. Plus the buffer I got is more like a power hand. not overdoing it and leaving swirls like so many other buffers, but it just cleans the paint and covers scratches very very nicely!

Oh yeah, get these tires, you will not regret it. I have 5 miles on them and already am in love!

Yeah I've been size'in those Nittos. I think it will help but I also need to adjust my drive'in mechanics..... I'm running just over 2.0 60ft's and 9.1 1/8 mile. prettymuch stock. If it hooked a little better my numbers wouldn't be bad.

sorry didn't mean to jak the thread.

On the buffer...If you got a good one that won't transfer heat (sound to me like you do) and you know what your doing (it sound like you do) you can get some good results.

Do you daily drive on yours? If I wasn't daily driving on these I would have gotten the MT et streets hands down. I have read a lot about the BFGs and lack of them being a good street tire, that is why I went with the Nittos!

you should be sub 1.8 60's with dr's. Should be 1.7 or so with the stock clutch if an M6
