With the replacement wheels and tires I just installed, I'm going to have to get the rear fenders rolled. I'll be getting that done next week. But, what I just noticed last night, is that the front fenders came rolled from the factory. Why do they roll the front and not the back?

They dont need to roll the back, their is plenty of room for the factory wheel and tire back there. The front is more tight so it needed to be rolled. Most cars have the front rolled and rear not anyhow.

Yeah, just most cars don't feature a 1" inner lip! :p

Well, in spite of all the research I did, and all the posts from others saying they had the same size wheels/tires with the same offset and no problems, mine scrape the tires when I get on it hard or hit a real low spot in the road. They don't scrape much, but enough to be heard load and clear from the driver's seat. Well, only four more days of gentle driving until I'll be able to have some fun. :burnout:

I went and visited with Thomas Liu at New Concepts Autoworks. I'm taking the car to him early next Wednesday. He's going to roll the rear fenders, paint all four hubs, and do the paint work I want on the fuel rail covers. I'll be able to pick it up Thursday evening.

So I even screwed up his name eh? did you see the 67 around back? That is an awesomely interesting lot to drive up into is it not? This is just a suggestion, get Konis ordered now while you are waiting, you may need them and dollar for dollar they are a very worthwhile mod, even if only the rears.

No, but when I stopped by Tuesday afternoon I pulled straight up to the main building and stopped beside a vintage two-seat roadster that I just took a quick glance at and thought it was a Morgan. So, while Thomas and I are talking, this older guy comes up and tells Thomas what a great job he did on the paint of this roadster. As it turns out, this roadster was a 1940-something BMW. It was one of only 101 total that were made, and the only one made with this particular body. It had a special plate on the side of the hood. The guy told me the whole history of the car - essentially an extremely valuable one-of-one machine. As I looked around, I noticed one Lamborgini, two Ferraris and a few other exotics either being worked on or waiting under individual canopies for their owners to pick them up. The conclusion I drew was that these guys know what they're doing and do really good work. It won't be cheap, but it'll be done right.

There is a nice 67 GTO around back that guy dropped off with a wheelbarrow full of cash and said fix it up. In spite of the high dollar iron, I found them a hell of a lot more reasonable than some of their neighbors. I don't regret a penny I spent, they are the only ones that have done anything to my car that didnt have to be redone twice. One guy I really like on here that reads all my posts says I know nothing about mods, I did find them though. If you'd like to drive mine to feel the Koni's let me know.
You had yours tuned yet?

Nope. I have to learn more about that before I try to find someone to do it. I want to make sure it's someone who knows what happens to items B and C when you make a change to item A - if you know what I mean. As for the Konis, I've decided to go with the fender rolling and the group purchase of the rear progressive rate springs. I'll wait on the shocks for now.
Are you going to the show tomorrow at EZ's?

Oh, yeah, I also ordered a K&N drop-in air filter today from PFYC. It should be here in about 3 days.
