I know some people are going to say "Search Button" but I dont have to time search around. Work time.

So heres the deal, I am going to widen my STock 17s to 9 or 9.5 in the back.

Whats the perfect size tire for that width?

Thanks,

JAred

275 to 295.

245/45-17 = 25.7"

265/40-17 = 25.3"
265/40-17 = 26.4"
275/40-17 = 25.7"
285/40-17 = 26"

Nice! You think i would rub with not doing anything with the fenders?

That will depend on how they add the width but I would trim the fender to be sure.

Nothing like buying new tires and shredding them on the highway at 65MPH. I think your biggest problem will be with the inside fender well. I big hammer may take care of that but again it will depend on the offset.

I would look at going to a 9" rim which would support the 275 tire just fine. If all the width is being added to the inside then one more inch shouldn’t cause too much trouble.

You have time to post a new thread, time to check back in on it from time to time, reply, but no time to search?

Do a 275-35-18. You can do 285-35-18 but that is taller, and will most likely require you to roll your fender lip.

Everyone else is being just cool about it. I was done with work at that time i replied. Were all family here! haha

I was going to get nittos 555rs. I might just roll and cut the fenders just to make sure.

I was thinking of just going a 275/40 maybe a 265/40 just becasue its cheaper?

Would .5 inches matter? Or should i not do 9.5 and just stick with 9 inch wide?
