I'm looking at TSW Lagunas for my 06 M6. I'd like to run 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear.

Will this formula work for me without rub issues?

Front:
18x8 w/ a 245/40/18 tire

Rear:
18x9 w/ a 275/35/18 tire

Package detail:

BFGoodrich G-Force Sport
(245/40R18)

TSW Laguna: 18x8
:: 5x120 :: 40mm offset :: Hyper Silver

TSW Laguna: 18x9
:: 5x120 :: 45mm offset :: Hyper Silver

BFGoodrich G-Force Sport
(275/35R18)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have that set-up, with the exception of BFG/KDW2's and 255/40's out back.

They rubbed ever so slightly & ended up having to grind the lips.

Although the KDW2's tend to run wide, you'll have problems with those 275's.

If I drop down to the 255\back will the rub issue be gone?

With those tires...I dunno. It would be hit or miss.

Just get the 275's and grind or roll the lips. It's really no biggie.

I would like to leave the fenders\wheel wells stock if possible. maybe i'll got 18x8 all around.

You may be OK with 255's in those tires. But, I'd hate to tell you they won't rub then when you get them on it ends up being another story.

If you don't want to mess with the fenders, you could get drag bags or different rear springs to solve the 275 problem.

have the rears "shaved" to a 48mm offset..use the 265/35-18 General UHP's....then it all depends on your rear suspension....Pedders 20mm drop springs will almost certainly get you there with no rubbing, no cutting or rolling....

nothing is guaranteed on these cars tho...

I would agree with gtorrrrr. Get the rears shave to 48mm. I think a 265 series tire in the back would be a nice compromise for you in the back if you are worried about rubbing issues and don't want to roll or grind your fenders.

I'm not sure as to which component you are saying to shave. The rim itself?

yes...many distributors will machine (shave) 3 mm more off your wheel hubs (mounting surface) to get you to a 48 offset...

you will be tucking your wheel/tire a little more inboard
