Ok guys, I think I am goin to finally look at ordering a set of wheels. I have been looking around and have decided on a BMW type wheel. From what I have read on these forums, I need a 8" wheel with a 40-45mm offset or if I go with a 9" wheel, I would need a 50 mm offset. If I am wrong, please correct me!

Also, I have seen mention of some GTO hub rings that would be needed to put BMW wheels on our cars, can anyone explain further on this topic or tell me where I can get them.

Thanks

A member by the name CSi^Jason sells hub rings made out of really strong titanium or something. Just PM him and he'll supply!

As for the 9" for the rear, I'd prefer about +52/+53mm. My wheels are +50mm and the tires rubbed the outer fender lip. The listed offsets should give you enough room to run a 275 wide tire so that you don't rub into them. You can use a +50mm offset wheel, but the only tire that's been tested to fit is the Toyo Proxes T1-S. It has been discontinued, though. You may find a retailer that still has some in stock. If not, Toyo replaced the T1-S with the T1-R.

CSI Jason does not have any in stock and does not have any on order. He also told me he is upping the price on them in order to have them anodized. Sooooo, are there any other options for hub rings?!

I had some plastic ones, but they were worthless. One guy told me to just hand tighten them all to 50 ft/lbs and then again to 100ft/lb. He said they would center just fine that way.

I had vibration over 60 without CsiJason's hub rings.

Same here. Between 52 and 65 the vibration was annoying as hell.

Bought the rings, and voila! Rock steady, baby.

Please explain what these hub rings are and what they do. Thanks!

To be honest, I have had no problems with lug centric rims so far. Both my Voxx MRs and daily driven Shuks are lug centric. I just take my time tightening the lugs, ensuring everything is centered before torqueing.
