Sucks...absolutely sucks. Met Brian a couple of times.....I'm sure whoever went to the Newport meet in the summer of '07 remember waiting for Kurt to show up towards the end of the day and Brian doing the burnout with the police coming right over the hill at the same time lol! Nice guy..smoked a few cigs with him, etc.

Horrible...my condolences to the family, friends, etc. :(

He was one guy who lived every moment as if it would be his last. Kind, giving, outgoing, caring, funny, open, cheerful. He was a walking adjective of positives.

Please, can someone get a last name? Wake/Funeral arrangements? Town?

Brian enjoyed life to the fullest. He was so full of energy and his bear hugs were nothing, but crushing, lol, lol. I need more info on this, but can't find any. I'm so frustrated and want to know more. The where, the why's, and who was with him at the time and how this happened. I wish I knew his girlfriend Sharon's number, I called his apartment and his cell phone, but they went to voice mail. I'm hurting big time over this, I should of went, NOT Brian!!!!!

This is what he probably would have liked to say to everyone, lol, lol.....

The first time I met Bri was when him, Kush and Jay waited 3 hours for me after the Watkins Glen race was over so we could cruise home together. We did, at like 120 miles per hour the entire time, he was a f'n blast to be around you couldn't help but laugh.

I remember that.. He had said no burnouts or reving engines at the CCSU car show.. This eclipse decided to ignore him so he grabed a sledhammer and ran into the parking garage after it.. Wish I had a picture of that

I have spent many a night with Brian on the Berlin Turnpike and other adventures.... it was always an adventure. He always, selflessly, opened up to anyone. He was always the life of the event, center of attention. For most of the GTO events of recent time, Brian would be the motivating factor for me to attend. If he was there, it was going to be an interesting time. He'd do anything to bring a smile to faces.

It's amazing how you can see someone pass away from another section and think to yourself "OMG thats horrible, god bless"

But then you see someone you've met, someone who's got the greatest spirit of anyone out there...someone who'd give you the biggest hug ever even if he's never met you. It's just something you don't expect...its a kick to the balls and hurts deep down inside...because even though theres hundreds of miles between the two of you...you'd do anything just to make sure that person stayed happy.

Thats what happened to me at the Watkins Glen event in the Hotel Parking lot in 08. Brian became someone I held close and regarded as a close friend just because of the events that unfolded that day lol...never seen me in his life and gave me the biggest hug from a dude I've ever had haha...

Hes the type of person that would go and do anything for ANYONE.

I remember at the BBQ Bill had (Thank you so much for the opportunity to meet many NE members btw) Brian just hopped in my car and fell in love with my CD collection and would out of no where talk shit about me and Delaware...but it was okay because he just had that effect to him...:gr_jest:

For this, I salute the many drinks I had tonight to you, Brian Wilson....May heaven be filled with GTOs, Jeeps...and long, windy open roads...

I'm still in shock, Brian was very close to me, we had a special friendship. I know that Jay and Brian also had a special friendship as well and how hard Jay is taking it too. It makes my heart soar to hear all the nice things people are saying about Brian. You either loved him or hated him, there was no in between, (well maybe a little, lol, lol) that's the kind of guy he was.

I'm surviving on all the good energy Brian put out and trying to keep my head up and think of all the good times I've had with him. Like a few of us that last seen him at the Rookies Meet 2 weeks ago, that will be one of my fondness memories of him.

Love ya big guy, you remind me of myself when I was your age. I think that's why you and I were so close. The 30 years between us never got in the way of our friendship. I'll always think of you as my adopted son as you always called me your adopted father. Rest well my son, one day we just might meet up again in another life!!

Exactly the kind of person Brian was, hell he was going to give me a job in January helping him with his new business and I was stoked :(

Wow, I cant believe that happened. Brian was a great guy. I remember him from the Marcus Dairy meet in 07. First time I ever met him, I helped him clean his car. IIRC, I think he was talking about opening up his own performance/detailing shop....

When Al told me on Sat morning I thought I heard him wrong..... I was like there is no way this happened..... Hes 23...

Brian was such a pain in the ass.... but you couldnt help but love him for it. He was never a mean spirited person, just a guy that loved life and loved having a good time with friends... and people he would just have met. I remember meeting him at our Marcus meet (pics above) and thinking this guy has got trouble written all over him! lol And as the day & night went on, he certainly proved me right lol He was def the entertainer and almost everyone of my memories from that day were of him and his craziness lol I'll never forget him riding (and I think breaking) some of the rides at the Red Rooster haha

Rok, as Al said, Brian always spoke so highly of you... he def considered you to be his family. Please let us know if & when plans are made to do something special for him.

RIP Bri.... You are forever part of this community and will never be forgotten. This was posted earlier by Joe (MonteSS2K) and it choked me up a bit. Not sure where this is from Joe, but its really a great quote:

"When every good boy and girl who loves cars finally clears the Pearly Gates, their dream machines are waiting for them to enjoy. No cops, Virginia roads, engine warmed, fuel needle stuck on full. Forever and ever"

I definitely want to do something special for Brian. I'm still in shock and really can't think straight about this. I want to find out when the services are going to be before I do anything. I was thinking of having a charity run in the spring in Brian's Name and donate to the Fire Dept where he was a member. I will NOT do anything without all of Brian's friends chiming in and agreeing on something. I know Jay will also help in this matter too. Thanks for the nice write up Melissa and Al, plus all of the other posts about Bri. He touched people differently, he was someone full of piss and vinegar and didn't care what anyone thought about him. So full of life, so sad to see go.............

Thanks again all!!!

Hey guys, my name is Chris and I was a good friend of Brians. The outpouring of support here and elsewhere is tremendous and there are already plans in the making for a memorial at the annual CCSU Car Show. We will keep you guys abreast as we figure out exactly what we want to do.

I saw someone asking about the service information so I figured I would post it up for you guys. The wake will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, December 18th and Friday from 9-930am at Baileys Funeral Home at 48 Broad Street in Plainville , followed by a mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, also on Broad St in Plainville.

Here's the banner he "acquired" from Watkin's Glen in 07 and donated to the Newport Meet the same year. It's hanging in my garage now. This picture will now be forever with the banner as my memorial of his presence in my life.

He was a good friend of mine since we where in high school and would like to thank all you for your responses. I have informed his family of this forum and they are going to come on here to collect more photos. If anyone has more photos to share please do, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just to see how many lives he's touched is amazing and it's so great to see that you all saw that fantastic qualities in him that I have treasured for years. He is very sorely missed and there's not a day that goes by that gets any easier. It's angering that he was only 23, a year older than me, and he deserved to have his twelve kids that he wanted with his gf Sharon. Thanks everybody for the condolences and pictures, it's been very therapeutic. God Bless you all. Meaghan Wilson

Thanks so much you guys. I'm looking forward to something like that. You guys should all burn out on February 7th, his birthday, in his memory. I'm working on setting up some kind of fundraiser to help the parents keep the goat and pay for the services. Thanks again! Meaghan

Hiya Rok,
I've heard alot about you! :) You seem like a great guy. I know my brother would want us to move on but it is easier said than done. It was a huge slap in the face to all of us. So many things remind me of him. Spongebob (his nickname), squeeling tires, pizza, or even a joke. I remember when we used to ride in the parents convertible and any time we went under a bridge, he would let out a high pitched girly scream just to hear it echoe. R.I.P Bubba. I will defiently let everyone know what's going on with the fam. Thanks again everybody, We all really appreciate it. Guess we all should just live life to the fullest like Bri did. much love!

Wow, I Met him once, during the 07 Newport meet, and Though I suck with names, I remembered his from the one meeting I had (the only name I remembered). I was in Kuwait for the second half of last year, and I wasn't able to keep up on the forums much. I had my first duty day last night, and was able to catch up on my forums trolling when I came across this thread. RIP Brian. We will never forget you.

Oh wow Al I didn't know that. As you know Jay also gave the trophy from the CCSU meet to them too. I know they will cherish it with all the other stuff people gave to them. I also proudly display the award I received from his parents to me every chance I get. And I also display the picture board I made at the Friday Night Hooters meet. People that didn't know that Brian had passed, but knew him from there were astonished. People remembered his face and good humor the most. Brian loved going down to Hooters on Friday nights!!

Good for you Jay, and we'll talk to you at Hooters........
