Well, about a week ago I bought one of the Gander MTN. special Montague Sussio Sig Sauer P220s in 9mm. It was a solid gun and onsale so I picked it up.

1. Here it is the day I picked it up.

I couldn't leave well enough alone. No, it wasn't bad, but call me crazy, I always thought the two-tone Sig P226 in the movie Face Off was such a beautiful gun --- I wanted to make one in 220 form.

I ordered some Titanium Duracoat and gave it a try.

It was an easy gun to tear down. Quite simple inside and very well made.

Anyway, here are the finished results. By no means perfect, but much better than before and will make for a great range shooter. BTW, i was looking for some Hogue Grips to fit the Euro mag release but couldn't find any. Mine weren't great so I ground them down to a semi smooth surface. It is now slimmer and actually feels great in my hand.

Get new grips nao! The two-tone looks sick but those grips are really detracting from an otherwise great looking gun.

The problem is no one makes grips for the Euro Magazine P220 --- at least none that I can find.

I'd love to find some. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'm all ears. Until then its my shaved stockers.

I guess they don't make the rubber ones for the Euro model any more. But here's some wood for ya! :)

Did you remove the old coating first or just coat over it.

If you removed, how much different does the SS look from the titaminum coating? I love the look of Bare SS.
