im running 18s 245 up front 275 in the back. right now i have nt-01s all the way around and love them. the only prob is buying a new set of tires everyyear is going to get expensive. has anybody on here had experience with the nt-01s and the falkens. how do they compare? ive been looking into other high performance street tires such as the re01r, the nt-05s comin out, etc, but i really dont like directional tires. how do these falkens compare to other high performance street tires? im mostly concerned with straight line grip.

It's a great tire for dry grip...not the best in the wet, but much better than the old rt-215's.
As for treadwear, they aren't great....but not really much worse than any other super grippy street legal summer tire.
I've used RT-615's on previous vehicles and will be mounting a set on my GTO this spring. Will post my thoughts then.

Put em on the front end and drive sedately and they'll last a lot longer than 20k! LoL!
I dont know first hand, but reading other people's statements here and on other forums 10-15k is normal. I dont think I've gotten 20k out of ANY tire I've ever had on the ass end of the goat!

Had mine on the rear for 7,000-8,000 hard miles before I hit the wear bar. That includes a whole lot of drifting, so a normal driver should see over 15,000 easily. The tires are fine in the rain, had no issues.

I haven't used these tires in particular, but I can speak highly of Falken as a brand. I've had their tires on several of my cars, as has my brother, and we have had nothing but good luck with them. They make good tires at good prices.
