okay so here is the problem:
I got some m/t et streets brand new/unused for 175..the pair..so I couldn't pass them up..anyways they are 26x11.5x17...roughly translates to 293/39/17....

soo they are obviously too wide for a stock 17''x8 wheel..

so I have a friend with some 17x9 OZ monte carlo wheels that is willing to sell them for really cheap...these wheels have a 56mm offset.

so 2 questions
1. will the offset work on my rear
2. is it plausible that these tires will fit??

these tires/wheels will only be used at the track...so no worries about hitting bumps and whatnot.

not sure..but the seller claimed to have them on his friends 04 gto so I'm thinking the center bore isn't a prob. but I know certain offsets can hurt/help you when it comes to going with wider tires..I'm just not sure which way it goes.

I don't think it's gonna work. Too wide and a few mm too much offset. Probably rub on both sides, although I think it will be worse on the inside due to the 56mm ET. 53 mm or so offset would be more ideal but there really is no such wheel... Anyway, it might be worth trying it out to see how close it is.

do you have the bottom listing on this page?

If so I am running those on the stock 17x8" rims. They do fit, but if you run more than 20psi you wont get the full footprint. AS it stands with the narrower contact patch they freakin HOOK!!
