That's the thing, there isn't a wheel I've seen so far that I am completely happy with other than ones I can't afford such as CCWs.
I actually think the stock 18s look the best, but I don't want a stock wheel.

Ok if I'm reading this correctly with the Nogaros if you get the rear wheels milled 3mm taking them to + 48 you can go with a 265/275 without rolling the fenders. Is this correct?

18x8.0 +40 front and 18x9.0 +45 rear

My wheels are 18x9.5 with a 47mm offset in the rear, so 1mm different than the milled Nogaros. I've had both the front and rear cradles aligned, and with 265/35/18 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1's in the back, I had to roll my rear fenders just to be safe. It was really close and I'm pretty sure they would've rubbed on big bumps.
However, the Dunlop Z1's seem to run pretty wide, as they have the same section width as other brand 275's, so maybe with a different brand of tire in 265 width would be ok? If you have a decent amount of negative camber in the back, that will only help with the tire to fender lip clearance, but your tires might wear faster than you want.
Hope that helps!

Usually using the recommended tire size and brand no you don't have to roll, but every car is different.

With the chart I posted it shows that with an offset of +48/+65 you can go with 255/265/275 on a 9 inch wheel. It states that any other than those offsets will rub.It doesn't say anything about having to roll/cut fenders with offsets within those specs.
If that is not actually the case then I don't see what good the chart is.

man...i feel your pain...you are where i have been for the last 2 years...i finally settled on keeping the stock 17's and goin larger on tires for the rear...i may get my 17's black-chromed in the future...this aftermarket wheel searching and fitment can become waaaaay too time (and thought) consuming...but good luck to you...i'm looking forward to seeing what you settle on...

Yea man this sucks!!Hard to believe there are so few good looking options for our cars and the crap you have to go through to go wider in the rear.
How wide did you go in the rear on your stock 17s?

The Thruxtons look the best followed by the Drift-R's. Get the Thruxtons with the 9.5" rear...will look fantastic. Drift-R's will not need the fender rolled because they have the correct offsets. The Thruxton you'll have to roll the rear with the 9.5".
CSL's...not a chance. I'm not a fan of the Euro/BMW looking wheels on these cars whatsoever. CSL's look good on Bimmer's/Audi's/etc...not GTO's.
And as much as I hate black wheels on IBM...they would look better than CSL's by a long shot. My .02

I like the idea of not having to roll my fenders to put a wider tire in the rear so if that is possible with the Drift-Rs then they become a very real possibility.I just hate the fact they look like Mustang wheels............I didn't want that look.
The only other draw back with the Thruxtons are those fake rivets.....I hate them plus I'd have to roll my fenders.I do agree they look very good, but it seems as though everyone has them though.
After giving it much thought I'm in sort of agreement with you on the CSL,I don't know if they belong on a muscle car.Nice lips on wheels belong, not mesh type imo.

i'm gonna try the 265/40's on the rear this week sometime...
as far as aftermarket goes...the DR-2's with the 52 offset for the rears should work without rolling or grinding....they say the Toyo 275 fits but i'd go with another brand 265 to be safe...and IMO the 265 does not look "stretched" on a 9.5" wheel as long as you dont go with a Toyo...

:hail: Thank you. Your making the right call on this trust me :)
It all comes down to what you like in the end..the allen bolts aka rivets don't bother me for some reason. I also LOVE the AZA Z01's on IBM but they too have allen bolts. Yes alot of people have the Thruxton and the AZA's but they look damn good. Take a look at the AZA's...if you like them someone is selling a pair for cheap and another person is selling a great staggered setup. Have a professional roll your fenders...$75-$100 and you can fit them. If you don't want to roll then just get straight 18x8 and you'll be fine..and for the AZA's 18x8.5
For me I didn't try and please the "crowd" with my choice...I loved Thruxtons from day 1 and bought them, regardless of how many people on this board, etc. have them. Just food for thought. Good luck. And always check the sticky above..millions of wheel pics for you.

I think the AZA wheels look good also, but I'm not much on the split spokes on them.....too thin looking imo.
How hard is it to clean the Thruxtons? Is it a pain in the arse?
I have tried to find a professional to roll my fenders, but there are no shops in my area that do it.They also have never heard of a fender roller, wtf?

They aren't easy...but I enjoy washing/detailing my car to the max so it doesn't bother me. Sometimes I'll half ass the allen bolt/rivet area on a regular "wash" day with a quick wipe but unless you stick your face upto them, your not going to see anything (if your at a light and someone looks over, you can't see anything). If I'm going to a meet, etc. then yes I'll take the extra time and clean that entire area. Not many wheels out there that are easy to clean.
Even if you have to travel 1hr or so, there should be a shop that can do it, it's not anything new. Anyone on the board in your area?? Any race shop or performance shop "should" be able to help or at least guide you in the right direction.
