Question about CHL's...

So my new years has started on, how should I say, a bad note. Long story short, ex shows up, caused drama, cops were called, cops tell me she wants to press charges even though everything is against her (I have witness, she was not invited and admitted the to cops she couldnt drive home due to being intoxicated...no she did not drink at my function).

Now, why the question about a CHL? I had just completed the course 2 weekends ago and mailed everything off on the 29th. I want to know if this situation will hinder my chances of recieving this beloved license :(

I wouldn't think so... as long as she doesn't have a restraining order on you of some kind. I wouldn't think that she could get that done from what you have described in this situation. Good luck getting your licence! I am waiting on mine also

press charges as in assault? domestic violence? if you are convicted yes. sounds like your paperwork may be finished before any charges come through though so that is on your side. bad part is if you are convicted its going to make purchasing any guns a pita!

She fell after being escorted out by me and scrapped/stubbed her toe or something since she was in high heels going down a small incline. She calls the cops after that. Not going to go into more detail just in case.

If you are in Texes you should be Ok. If it comes out that you are charged with all out assult on this domestic dispute as in you have to go to jail, you might be hard pressed on getting the CHL (As in show documents and outcome). Other than that you will be good to go.

I know cause I got in an all out bar brawl while in College and spent a couple of day in the slammer for that. First and only offense, I was good to go. As long as you don't have a history of violence, you are golden.

edit: Nevermind Concealed Handgun License. I found it. Like I said our govt here doesn't trust us with guns.
