This weekend myself and Devil Yellow met with Mark Barklage owner of a two car AMS pro modified team; fielded by his son's Zach and Cody. Mark was a pleasure to meet as he showed us around his pit area, at this point I gave him the opprotunity to have a LS1GTO.com sticker he could put on the car. Within minutes Mark picked out a spot on the drivers window and put on the forums decal :cool:
Mark Barklage also told us the car will be making some exhabition passes on thursday at the GTO nationals (needs clarification)
Cody Barklage who is the driver of an '05 GTO pro mod ran comptitvely though his qualifying runs at the chicago NHRA event. His best run was a 6.35@223mph good for 9th. in the order. Unfortunetly I suspect motor problems kept him out of round 1. Throughout this season Cody will be seeking for a major sponsor, outings like this should help his objectives.
With our new friends at Barklage racing we will exchange photos and even some incar videos from their 200mph passes, to be posted on the forum.
