.50 isn't inconsiderable, nor it's spawn the .416.

barretts are really, really heavy though so if you go by poundage. . . Lol.

The record for longest distance sniper kill was done with a .50

I already have an M82A1, the .50 is great but over rated IMO. Out of the longer distance capable calibers, I would choose the .338 LM. I would LOVE a Sako TRG-42 or a custom Surgeon in .338 LM, but money is the obstacle right now :(

It depends on what you define as "distance" - how far do you want to shoot and with what accuracy at that distance, then what is your budget. You will be spending $$ on optics to shoot major distance too.

+1 for the TRG-42. A Surgeon action would be like a little bit of heaven, too bad I don't have the extra $1,400 laying around.

.50bmg rifles are obviously awesome, but if you want just a regular old reliable siper rifle get the legend: M1903A4 Springfield

Well, because most people (including me) think that long range shooting includes accuracy as an important part, and 24" at 420 yards, welllll. . .

That's not the kinda accurate that we're talking about here lol. It is impressive for a cheap gun though!

Ahhh, can always rely on bandit to pimp some overpriced, overhyped HK shizzle
