a Smith and Wesson SW40VE...decent price from what I've seen, gotta wait till May tho since I'll be 21. I've shot the gun before and liked it, figured for the price it's good enough for me to 'learn' on.

Any other options around the same price?

Would be my first....my dad was gonna pick the gun up off a friend of mine a while back, but it was in his trunk when the car got stolen (just got back from the shooting range)

Ammo wasnt cheap for it, though if I recall...

decent price because Sigma's are total junk. I don't even think the M&P fans will defend the Sigma, though the Taurus fans might haha

Have you shot anything else? I'm also in the handgun market, and of the XD, Glock, and S&W, I felt it was by far the sloppiest of the three.

As stated above... not the best choice you could have made.

But at least it's not a Hi-Point.....

Do some more research, feel a few in your hands (try the triggers especially!!), and rent a few at the range to shoot before you purchase. You'll be glad that you did.

Not looking to carry, to be honest. I've put about 200rnds through this one a few times, but havent really had any time with others. I don't think they'll even let me rent a handgun at a range yet, as I won't be 21 until May.

Have any specs/link to the M&P or any other gun in its Price range?

It's a holster, military style, meant for a 1911 but fit the Hi-power quite well. I still have it if you want more pix.

Hells yeah, I only had mine long enough to add an extended slide release on it (you can kinda see it in the pic)
