Hopefully my line lock will be here in a day or two, I can get it hooked up, bleed the brakes & be ready to roll.

i ended up knicking the quarter when trimming the lip on the drivers side, talk about pissing me off. but you can't really tell unless you know it wasn't there before, at least thats what everyone is telling me just to make me fell better. also i'll be using the BFH on the lips since there cutting into the tire, at least the springs should help.

most likely since i have stock springs on in the pics, but this friday its getting king HD 0" drop and Koni's adj. and i still may have to roll the lips up a bit after i already trimmed them.

Man they look sweet! Got a meaty look to the. I didnt think the 275s would fit on an 8in wheel. But looks like they fit fine to me.

on a 15" rim you have some extra movement with the sidewall so you can actually fit these on a 7.5" rim according to M/T. i would've liked to have gotten a 10" wide wheel but i'm glad i ended up with a 8" wide. after i burn through these M/T's i'll be using Hoosiers since there lighter and stick better from what i hear. i have to see how housewolf does this weekend with his to see the difference.

how much those rims weight ?
the fronts are 10.6lbs and the rears are 13.0lbs. total the fronts are 23lbs. and the rear i have no clue but just slightly lighter than the factory 17's rim and tire combo. roughly 70-80lbs weight savings.

those are the exact ones i ordered, and the fronts are 15x3.5 with 1.75 backspacing. don't forget the required lugs and its a good idea to get ARP studs. i'll put a post here in a bit about everything i used to help anyone that wants to get them.

here is a break down of what i used to get these mounted:
wheels: Greg Weld Dragstars 15x8 5.5BS/5x4.75BC
part # GWM-92-580350P (2 required)
Greg Weld Dragstars 15x3.5 1.75BS/5x4.75BC
part # GWM-92-535340P (2 required)
Tires: front: Moroso DS-2 26x4.5R15
part # MOR-17026 (2 required)
M/T ET street radial 275/50R15
part # MTT-3753R
Lugs: Greg Weld open end shank 12mmx1.5 RH
part # GWM-601-1422-4 (5 required)
Studs: ARP wheels studs 12mmx1.5 RH (rear)
part # ARP-100-7708 (2 required)
note: i did not change out the front studs since the Greg Weld lugs grab alot of the stock stud that i didn't feel i needed it, i changed the rear only because of the extra stress being put on the studs due to these wheels not being HUB centric. also i had to do some grinding on the rear calipers maybe .020 material removed.

not until the weekend, i'll be heading to the track then, right now i'm working 14hr days so theres no day time to go home and put them on to take pics with.

Mitch, the DRs I have are 275/40/17 on the stock 17" rims.

True true......I was thinking because of the wheels im ordering (18s, AZA Z-2s in 8.5in) wont fit a 265 on them. But i wasnt thinking with the smaller 17in and 15in wheel.

The zero drops alone didnt stop mine from rubbing the sidewalls. I have the 275/40/17 MT ET streets and normal driving they dont touch at all but on a hard launch or bump(railroad tracks) they rub on the fenders. I have to have at least 10-12lbs in the drag bags to keep them from rubbing.

well the Pedders aren't as stiff as the Kings, so i might be alright, if not i'll jsut get some bags and air it up for the launches, but i think the Kings with the Koni's set up stiff will be enough. the highest i can stall to is 2500 so i won't squat as much as others.

Yeah im a manual dropping from 4k so theres alot more squat than what you will get.

anyone try the fronts on the 05-06 front brakes ?
and just cause the lug grabs all the stud doesnt make it right , the stud needs to stick out past the last thread half the width of the stud 12mm = 6mm past , also depends how fast you are going at the track , or how picky the tech is , some wont let you race tell they stick out past

ehh the track i go to doesn't tech the street car all that hard unless in looks like its going to be a fast car. i haven't gotten out of the 12's yet so there not to worried. i'll be changing the front later on but for now theres not a need. as far as these fitting the 05-06 cars, i doubt they would without a spacer, wouldn't be a thick spacer but it will need one.

my bogarts would need a big spacer to fit , and they dont recommend radials , and figured these would be a good compromise for now , but ive gotta do the 05-06 upgrade , my 04's suck when trying to slow from over 120mph , but they have been abused seriously hard

i put on a set of DBA rotors and red stuff pads and it seems to help out alot. trap is only 110 mph but i've had to shut it down from 130+ and they held up fine.

i wouldnt mind redoing the 04 brakes , but the nitrous is coming off(or dropped to a 25-35 shot) , and aps twins are going on , so i figure if im gonna pay to upgrade , might as well go bigger

Are you on the stock wheel studs and if so how much thread do you grab with the lug?

the dust is freaking crazy, i have to wash it at least once a week to keep the dust to a reasonable level.
Are you on the stock wheel studs and if so how much thread do you grab with the lug?
it grabs for a good bit, as soon as i put the lug in the hole its starts to grab, so 1/2-3/4's of an inch. most of the lug is being screwed on to the stud so i don't worry about it for track use. i'm pretty cautious minded and if i don't feel its safe i won't run it until i think its safe.

I am still on stock studs. I don't remember how much stud it grabs but the lug goes almost all the way through the wheel so I was more than comfortable with running the stock studs.

Speaking of studs, at how much rear wheel power should one consider replacing the studs to ARP's.

not sure i haven't heard of to many people breaking a stock stud, but then again most of the people that have high powered cars or track their cars often have already changed out the studs.

yeah that makes a lot of sense. Im not making nore do i expect to ever make a gross amount of power but i do have a set of wheels like yours that i need to get off my keester and get a set of DR's for when i go play at the strip. your tire size equated to about a 26x10.5 right?

26x9.5 is closer to what the size tire i run. i have a 275 street tire on a 10" rim and i think a 285 would've been better.
