I just got my tires in today. They're 275/45/18. I assumed they would fit since I know of people running bigger tires but when I took them down to a local shop they took about 4 secs to decide there was no way. Should I find another shop or are they to big. They do look pretty massive. I should mention I have Drag Bags and my fenders ARE rolled.

Did the shop say why it would not fit?
There's quite a difference between M&H and MT 18's. Why
did you choose to go with 28" Diameter (Tire Height)?
......M&H 275/45/18.....................275/50/17
Tread Width......9.8........................8.8
Section Width..11.1.......................10.1
Diameter.........28.0.......................28.0
Circumference..88.0.......................88.0
Rim Size..........10.0........................9.0
.......MT 245/40/18....265/40/18....275/40/17....26/11.50/17
Tread Width......8.45......9.60..........10.20.......... ..9.50
Section Width....9.55....10.61..........11.00............1 1.10
Diameter.........25.80.....26.50.........26.00.... .........26.50
Circumference..81.00.....83.00.........82.00...... .......83.00
Rim Size..........8-9.5......9-10...........9-11.............8.5-10.5

I'm voting no, the 45 series is damn big, the 40 series M/T is tall this must be really big.

Gonna go try to mount em up Fri. I went with the 275/45 cuz thats all they made. It was this or 325/ sumthin. I knew there was no way to do that. I heard these should wear a little better than the MT but hook better than the Nittos so I thought they'd be perfect. If they'll fit that is.

Oh and the wheels are 10" wide and I think the offset is +53 (not sure).

Well verdict's in. It's tight but they fit. They look weird cuz of how tall they are but man are they stickey. Gonna do a track run in about 3 weeks and will give updates.

x2 for pics!!
Are you sure they are going to fit once the suspension is pre-loaded and all the weight transferred to the rear? How tall is the wheel(??x10) cause those just sound like monstrous tires!
However, if you can get them to fit I have heard LOTS of good things about M&H.
