So that they can start selling the even better RE-11 :)

That is correct. Normal evolution of product. As even more F1 technology is applied to the production tires we can pass it on to the consumer with even more performance!

I cant wait to get mine, im in dire need of rear tires. Since i only bought two, im having trouble in deciding whether or not to mount these in the front or rear. I have like new BFG G-force Sports up front, so i might rotate them to the back. Oh hell i dunno what im going to do!?!?
I yeah, i forgot to mention, Im a virgin when it comes to anything other than BFG ties, im 23 now and have run BFG's on everything i own since i was 16. Based on everyones review/opinion, im confident i will like these tires.
THANKS JEFF!!

Don't be worried about RE-01Rs. They are a kick ass tire.
You should mount them on the rear.

I ordered a pair also for my front's. I have Nitto 555's all around now and the inside wear on my front is alot worse than the rear. I like a 275 out back. I didn't know how much of a deal these were until after I ordered and did some research on what they cost. Got my tracking number today

Mine came in yesterday, and they sure do look purdy. Just need to sort out my suspension and alignment issues, and I'll be good to go for the spring.
Thanks again to Jeff for the excellent service.

depends on how you try to apply the power is if they will hold 400+ hp. If you are doing launches at the dragstrip, or diggs on the street the only thing thats gonna hold that is a drag radial. I would like to think they can hold for spirited driving tho, MAYBE so 20 rolls and for sure from 40. Upon inspection, i consider these one of the softest compound tires ive seen for street use, i felt like i could almost dig some out with my fingernail.
To show my confidence in these tires, i have a maggie going on next week and these are the ones i chose to put the power to the ground and i feel confident in them doing so.
