As we get closer to the race weekend, I'll post some details here. I'll also contact Pontiac to ask about any GTO Owner hospitality and to ask if they have any interest in the local GTO owners.

VIR is located near Danville, VA just over the North Carolina boarder.

I sent an email to The Racers Group. They are interested in some kind of program with GTO owners and want me to contact them as we get closer to the October event. The marketing/promotions guy (Shane) said he would talk to his contacts at Pontiac.

I'm thinking we might ask for a car corral, track drive-around (with the GTO race cars leading?) photos and autograph time for our kids, etc.

Nice idea! I love VIR, but it is a major hike from here. I'm going to keep this idea in mind anyway as I could use a road trip for the fall.

October is a great time of year around here. It'll be worth the trip.

Someone also suggested we contact the original GTO crowd, although they seem to be more interested in straight-line racing.

Anyone know of a contact for the NC/VA area?

Neat, if I have the time I will go. I will drive down and go to that then head over to Radford for Homecoming. I am an alumni of Radfor University.
