I just bought some TSW Thruxton wheels. the front is 18x8 +40 et and the rears are 18x9.5 +48 et. the tires mounted are 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 Hankook Ventus RS-2. my question is will these fit w/o any fender work? btw i have stock suspension. i just need to know since im picking these up either tuesday or wednesday

fronts should be fine, rears might rub, i had to cut my rear fender with 275 tire and same offset wheels

As superchargedgp said, fronts will be fine but the rears might rub. I have 265's on an 18x9.5 wheel with a 47mm offset, which is nearly identical to your wheel, and I had to roll the fenders. The 265's I have run wider than other brands though.

It will most likely depend on whether or not your rear cradle is aligned properly (most aren't from the factory), so you may end up rubbing on only one side of the car if the cradle is shifted slightly to the driver or passenger side. Rear camber might factor into the equation some too.

If you have sagging rear springs, when my factory springs were sagging, I remember the shop telling me my rear camber was approx. -2.8 degrees, and I am assuming that was due to the springs. With the top of the tire tilted in that much, it should give more clearance from the quarter panel lip. So in essence, the factory rear springs might help you with clearance, but I also imagine having that much negative camber in the rear might wear the inside of the tires down much faster than you want.

Hope that helps, and if I stated any incorrect information, hopefully someone will correct me.

To be sure take it down to San Jose and get the fender work done.

It only takes one bad dip at 65MPH to destroy a tire.

why is your thruxtons A 48offset when they dont make that offset? Did you have it milled?
The rear will fit with fender modifications.
I have thruxtons with 275 t1r toyos which probably run as narrow as the tires your putting on there and i fit. You will not fit without fender modifications. You still may have a chance of rubbing with passengers in the back depending on if you get a drop spring or not and how stiff of a spring you go with back there.
I wouldnt go any wider.. I may if had a 48 offset. I probably would have purchased 275 dunlops today instead of 265s.

Where at in San Jose? Can you PM me the details?

He bought the wheels from me. I got them from VQ Motoring. They were originally +45 et, I had VQ mill them down 3mm to a +48 et.

My rears rubbed just a little with my TSW's and 255's so don't be shocked if yours do. I had the fenders rolled. Post up some pics when you get them mounted.
