:secret: There are STILL 04s on the lots.. and I have found ways to crack the pontiac search engine: (They dont list 2004 as a option to search for anymore in the pulldown forms)

So here are some searches that should cover most the country.

Between these 5 searches you get a good glimpse of most of what is left.. looks to be about 240 cars or so.. Just change the 5 digit zip code in the above links to change the search.

BTW looking for a M6, there are a FEW... look at the prices, the lower priced ones are the M6s..

Just call the dealer and ask for thier best price, and see what you get.. I paid $25,400 in March (NO coupons, or anything... ) and someone here just paid $22,500.

Good Luck,
Charles

Now one less is available, I just made a deposit on a silver A4, $24,400.

Ouch, I wish that I had known about the Barbados blue one in Montana, nice color.

does anyone know if we get the employee discount on these as well?

Must note, about 95% of them are autos. Another thing, a lot of these cars (in NE anyway) have tons of miles on them even though they are "new". Some are demos, some are owner's cars. Like 3k or more. You can find used ones with less than that pretty easily. Happy hunting!

I just got my 05 PBM A4 a couple of weeks ago and I absolutly love the car.
wish I could afford to start a collection then I would go and buy a Pulse Red 04
too. Any Idea what the dealers are asking for a new 04 now?

I bought my new 04 about a month ago, Paid $24,362, black on black A4 is easy to find, but i only drive that color combo in everything i've owned. I thought my price was good since it had like no miles on it and had Chrome OEM wheels. Love the OEM wheels when they're chrome.

At 24,500, they are! I guess the problem is word of mouth. All of the die hards already have one - its getting the uninformed up to speed. I would have bought one with 300 horsepower, cloth interior, cheaper live axle and a single disc delco cd and thought I was getting a good deal at that price!

I cannot understand how this car does not sell more!!!!!!

anyone know of anymore around chicago area? i called several dealers today and they either dont have any 2004's or they are auto.

looking for any M6 that isnt red

GTO_Scott
07-06-2005, 08:04 PM
One yellow and one purple 04 auto here in Denver - nice central location to get a cheap flight to and drive out. (I looked at both of these in Dec 2004 when I got my Pulse red)

I think the local dealers have a few more new 04s, but this is what it shows.

As you drive to a lower elevation, it will be like a supercharger being added to your new car along the way! :driving:

If you're still looking, I think I have the car you're looking for. Last time I heard from you, you said you weren't sure what you were going to do. Is that still the case? If you 're looking for a cleaner car, for less money, closer to you in Ill, I wish you luck. If you dont find one, and you want to come see mine, give me a call. Thanks

If you buy "NacNac450" GTO, all you have to do is go to a dealership, it will cost you about 100 bucks to have them process the paper work, you will have the title free and clear within two weeks. My last car i sold was done that way, the buyer payed cash and sent the payment after talking to GMAC, he did the paperwork at a dealership and then he had the title in hand in 10 days. I know because he called me to let me know. Very simple way, you will have a hard time finding alot of free and clear titles in the hands of owners.

I just bought a still-new 2004 Pulse Red/Black A4 GTO from Mazzei Pontiac in Pittsburg, CA. Paid $24,400.

Thay still have 3 other nice looking 04's - 1 Yellow/Black A4, 1 Yellow/Black M6, and 1 Black/Red A4. If you go there, ask for Ron Sadler. That was one of the most painless new car purchases ever.

I'm in Santa Rosa. I have seen two other Silver 2004s in town besides mine, one still for sale new, also a blue one and a red one. And one nearby Chevy dealer has two used ones for sale, (purple and black) but they want 27K. They are not likely to get that when you can get a new one under 25K.
Congrats spdrcr! Glad it worked out for you. I was thinking about one of those red ones myself, but settled on Silver.

Yes, they are updated every time you click. You can enter your own zip code at the bottom and find out which ones are closest to you. Some cars may not be available, but it is pretty current. It took three days for my car to come off of the list after I bought it. I just saw that Spdrcr's car has dissapeared from the list between yesterday and today.

This past Wednesday, I drove 3 hours from Houston to Beeville to pick up the Yellow 04' (6-speed) that I found, thanks to this post. Ended up picking it up for 24,500 after TT&L. It only had 96 miles on it when I took it for a test drive, and it left with 106 miles after they cleaned it up for me. Until now, I was driving a 98' Mitsubishi Montero, so this is a big change for me.

It's Friday afternoon, and I'm about 50 miles shy of the 500 mile break in period (Texas is big). It was tough keeping the RPMs down, but it kept me out of trouble on the long ride back. I'm actually looking forward to cleaning the car up this weekend and taking off the dealer stickers and front license mount.

thought you guys might find this interesting....

for shits n giggles, i stopped by John Hine Pontiac in Mission Valley (San Diego). According to the SW link in the 1st post, he had 2 04s. Sure enough, he had the 2 04s listed, one black on red and the other red on black, both A4s. it took me a while to figure it out, though, be he had put the 05 hoods on 'em. on the red one, he had added the hood and the SAP spoiler. on the black, he added the hood, the SAP grille, the SAP spoiler, and the chrome stock wheels. the car also had a sunroof. get this: he wants $37,995 for the black one and $34995 for the red! i about died. bet part is that he had 2 05s sitting right there next to them and THEY WERE CHEAPER! no mark-up. just standard MSRP, except that one had been ordered with the hood scoop delete option (why ANYONE would want an 05 sans hood scoop is beyond me). i didn't talk to a salesman, but if i had i would've laughed right in his face.

Until you do actually start talking to them, you really have no idea what they want. They never advertise that they will give a big discount, because they are still hoping for just the right sucker to walk up, and pay whatever their first asking price is. But they will probably deal if they get an offer that doesn't lose them too much money on them.

this dealer guy told me he just sold a used 04 at the dealer for 28k. I guess he wanted to emphasize to me that the 05 should be at msrp and no less. So if he is right then the dealers can still try to sell them high to the suckers. If he is lieing than this post was a joke.

That's not a bad starting point trueblue. If that's where they'll go as their first offer there's more on the table. Haggle with them 'til they knock off another $4K and you'd be good.
