i am looking to get some new rear tires but it has been so long since i bought tires i dont know whats good from bad. i was thinking toyo proxes but i cant seem to find them anywhere around me. i was looking at the fuzion zri, or the sumitomo htr z II. what do you guys think? i want a tire thats pretty sticky and going to give me good traction on the street. i make 600hp at the wheels.

with that power you are truly going to need a drag radial to have anything close to a "sticky" tire. You failed to mention if price, treadlife, wet handling is a big deal.
My Bridgestone Re010r's just came in today, first time i have owned them and i must say, just from visual inspection i can already tell they are going to be the best performing tire i have owned yet. On the other hand, i can already tell they are the softest compound tire ive owned to date, so i hope i can get at least decent tread life out of them.
There is no one tire thats the best, or great for that matter at everything, the better one tire is at something, the more its going to compromise in another category. You just have to ask yourself whats the most important factors in your tire of choice.

I forgot to mention, the Bridgestone Re010r's are one of the more expenssive tires on the market, buuuuuuut if you get lucky and catch either Tirerack, or the Bridgestone vendor on the forum you can get them for almost HALF of retail cost. I know quantity was limited when i ordered mine last Friday, so if you wanna get the "best" tire out there for a fraction of the cost then HURRY!

My friend, you DO NOT want the sumitomo htr z II. IF you're looking at Sumitomo's you want the HTRZ III, not the II...the II are crap...the III's are the shit and if you look on tire rack they're 119.00, not too bad of a price.

sounds like the Re010r's would suit you fine then, thats what i got them for; to help my maggie hook on the street and put drag radials on my stock 17's IF i ever take it to the track.
Downside is, if you dont get in on the sale, i doubt you will find the Bridgestones for less than $200 a tire, my second choise would be BF Goodrich G-Force sports, which did me good for traction but didnt wear all that great.
I feel like i need to specify that it wasnt 100% the BFG's fault for wearing so fast, i have stock(saggy as hell) rear suspension so that hurt thier life quite a bit right there.

well if need be ill just run drag radials on the street

yeah, sorry i tihnk i threw an extra zero in there, or "R" Ill have to go look outside for their specific name.
IF tirerack doesnt have them, then you might try pm'ing the Bridgestone vendor on here, thats who i got mine from and he was very helpful with speedy shipping.
Look for the thread on here just for the Bridgestones, if its not on the first page of "tires and wheels" it should be on the second.
