Hellz Yea! Nice add to the forums. Though I am still using the stock fuel system with no problem, it will be good to see different setups for future upgrading. Thanks Doric! :)

Just upgraded my fuel system to with one of Lonnie's Double in tank pump set ups. Works amazing and easy to install. I now have all the fuel I could ever need.

Just the pump kit, or the full return-style system and AFPR as well?

I will be selling my Nasty N8 Fuel Cell from my car in the near future and replace it with a 5gallon cell. Also sending the Weldon 2025 in for a 2035 upgrade build... This will be going on while the car is in the body shop for paint!

I did the full system. Really easy to install and the tech support it great. Lonnie gives you the flexibility to mount the regulator where you want a route the lines how you want. I fed the back of the drivers rail cross over in the front and then to the regulator on the passenger firewall and back to tank.

More info about this? Where to get it? What does it include? How's it work? Installation difficulty? Price?
Another question I have...
I have seen people write about getting the 255 pump and placing it in the stock bucket and not using the Magnavolt with an SC install. Does this work? Is the Magnavolt booster not needed then? Is an 8.1L bucket recommended with this type of setup?

You'll find that most of us F/I guys who've built decent fuel setups will recommend a return system without reservation. Having your IFR table be a simple horizontal line, regardless of boost or vacuum, is golden. It simplifies everything. Otherwise (if it's correctly tuned) you wind up warping your VE table around ever-changing fuel pressure, and you no longer have one foot on a rock.
Returnless fuel systems are pretty much an invention of the EPA and cost accountants. When fuel injection first started replacing carburetors, most OEM systems were return type. However the downside is that you're heating the fuel more, and increasing the likelihood of EVAP issues, along with the higher parts count. Ford is the only one who has really done it right, by using a PWM controller to regulate the fuel pump speed in a closed feedback loop.
The cost is usually the main whining point, but in the long run, it's still cheaper than throwing away all the expensive bandaids like voltage boosters and Walbro kits when it finally comes time to do it right. Just ask Perdieu.

Cost is my biggest issue right now. I talked to Lonnie yesterday (why is that guy not a sponsor?). I want to do it right, certainly - but $2K is a big nugget after spending $10K in the last month.
Perdieu deleted his fuel system thread for unknown reasons.

Aside from Fraser himself, I'm probably the biggest fan of his setup (http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=162 495), even considering the added complexity and cost of my own and B727's. The cost can be further reduced by using socketless hose, which I wholeheartedly recommend. I can't begin to tell you how much my fingertips and I hate braided hose, bling notwithstanding. Many of the pros have stopped using it because it's such a PITA.

I'm going to price things out today and see if it fits within the budget. My wife is reaching the edge of what she's willing to tolerate in terms of my spending. Thankfully, it appears to be a higher threshold than most wives.

Thank goodness for that.
My GF gives me crap all the time about my car (we live together), but she also knows that I would never spend what i can't afford on the car and that I will put any priority that arises in front of it if need be. I think thats why my life is easier... for now atleast. We will be getting engaged soon... Just not sure when!

Is the addition of a surge tank a priority for our cars, along with full return style system, fpr, and rails. My tuner suggested a surge tank and a inline bosh to compliment my 72 lb'ers and intank walbro. help

I am not using a surge tank. I do have a return system with FPR and rails. but I am using an external fuel pump.

Ever run it below 1/4 tank? Any problems?

No I have not run it below a 1/4 of a tank. Even before my fuel system changes I typically would fill it up around 1/4. That is not to say I never took it down below LOL. I do know what it will do if I run it that low as we had to pump out my race fuel the other day. It will be like running out of gas and your car does not like it to much. As long as when you start getting low you are not doing WOT pulls than you will have enough time to hit a gas station.
