I have read that the 2006 GTO will have the SAP front, anyone know if this means the auto-cross grilles, the front fascia, or both.

I thought I had seen it mentioned in two different posts on this forum when I did a search for 2006 changes. I got alot of hits and it will take me awhile to search through them again so I can quote my sources, but I will make very effort to do so.

I've heard mostly rumors of the SAP grilles only. The only reason I could see that as being true is if GM expected the SAP parts to sell great, but have been selling mediocre.

I hope that's not true. I'm not a big fan of the package and don't find the sales surprising, given the price.

Certain parts I like. Like the SAP grilles & rear bumper. May not get the rear bumper if I go side exhaust.

I like the stock grills, especialy with the scooped hood. I'm not a fan of the SAP grills, especialy when they are not painted to match the body color. If they do it, I hope it is an option.

I kinda have to agree, and also sorry but the painted to match makes it look like a grand am.

Not that either of those cars are bad cars or anything. My brother has a Grand prix gt and his GF has a grand am. So the three cars are in my driveway alot.

It was reported in PE or HPP but there is no official mention of it so I would imagine it won't happen.

Thanks for clarifying that. Couldnt agree more with the B and C part myself.

Can you order a GTO from the factory with the SAP grilles and fascia so it shows up on the sticker as having come that way?

I don't put any movie in the spot of "Greatest of all Time" that is too big a hole to fill. I would put the Princess Bride in a top ten list though..

Do you recall hoow much you paid for your grills? I like the looks of those and have heard alot of horror stories about the front facia add falling off after a few car washes lol.

I paid about $217 for mine. Got them from Gene @ Fred Beans (sponsor link on left of screen). The horror story is there are 2 clips that hold the front bumper cover on along with 7 screws. The clips are a little difficult to unhook away from. Most people break 1 of the clips on the back side of the front bumper. Never heard of 1 falling off. Remember, 7 screws holding it on also.
