Hey guys, I am looking to get a .22 rifle real quick and cheap. Anyone getting rid of one please let me know. If you have a bolt action, great. Let me know.

A typical gun shop can have you in and out in less than 15 minutes. I can't imagine an online transaction being quicker.

No shady deals REB! My local shop closed and I was pissed. I guess I may have to do the online gun auction sites.

Last week, my purchase from auctionarms.com on Monday was delivered to my FFL on Thursday. The purchase went very smoothly.

Closed for the day or for good? I cannot imagine a gun shop going out of business right now.

have you ever shot a .17 caliber?

they smoke a .22...

17 grain bullet @ 2550 fps. = alot of fun.......ammos a little pricey tho.

I've got a Savage 93r for sale. Its a bolt action .17 HMR if your interested. Little bit louder than a .22lr but far more accurate and powerful.

Yea, the price of .17 was on parr with 9mm...When you could find 9mm.

These days though the .17 is abundant but the .22lr is harder to find (in bulk). I think the .17 is better for actual hunting for the reasons you stated above.

The .22lr is superior for plinking in a semi-auto just because of cost.

Doubtful... what's he going to do to them with a bolt action 22, besides piss them off once or twice, and then beat them back with the stock?

That said, even if you do an online auction site of some sort, you still have to have an FFL nearby to do the transaction.

Give that a try.
