In process of installing my victor jr intake with edelbrock fuel rails. Edelbrock says the rails have been tapped for 3/8 pipe thread. I bought some aeromotive fittings and they go in 2 threads. They then get tight. I started one in and would I back it out. Continued until the four time it stripped out the threads on the fittings. Anyone delt with this problem?

we didnt have problems with ours but i dont think we used aeromotive fittings. we just had an issue with the injectors fitting in tight which was a quick fix...

Man, that sucks... any chance you got the wrong aeromotive fitting?

check out intakeelbows dot com for a elbow to connect the intake to the tb, very nice piece. Edelbrock makes a few but after searching on ls1tech, i learned they are restrictive. I read someone picked up 50 rwhp by changing the elbow.

I checked the boxes and they say 3/8 pipe to -6 an, so they should be the right ones. They are nickel plated so maybe that is the issue. I ordered some russel fittings that are not nickel plated and I'm gonna run a tap through them.

DO NOT run a tap through the rail. I dont know if any of the internal threads were damaged by the Aeromotive fitting, but I recommend you try the Russell fitting first. If you have any problems running our parts, feel free to contact me at dkim at edelbrock dot com.

you can use and elbow with the stocker or go with a 4150 flange style tb(carb style)

i used the russels so you should be fine as long as the threads arent damaged to much

the nut section of the fitting doesnt bottom out on the line as they are tappered threads , here is a side shot of mine . as you can see there is some threads still showing
