There are a TON of threads on this combo, but after spending quite some time searching, I can really find a solid answer to the max power ran with this combo. I was at 550@ the tires w. this combo. I ran it for a year w/out issue. I dropped a valve and am in the middle of a rebuild and am curious what kind of power levels can be achieved w/ this setup.
I'm assuming since the bucket isn't going to be sucked dry, the limiting factor at this point will be the pump, so I can use the Walbro 255lph pump chart? I'm running 60# injectors currently.
Thoughts?
i have seen 600 rwhp with a maggie with that set up with a kennybell boost a pump. after that you need a return style system. lonnie's is the best set up.

I will need to do something as I'm in the midst of a rebuild (all forged internals) and plan on turning the boost up considerably. I doubt the fuel system will be up to handling 650 at the tires.
I looked on Lonnie's site and saw a few options. There is a $675 dual in tank pump option (double pumper) that looks pretty decent. Although I'm not sure what power levels it supports.

I'm at 640rwhp w/ this exact combo (walbro, 8.1, KB). I do, however, also have Meth inj.

I don't really know if that's a factor, as long as the fuel pressure is where it needs to be. Maybe I'm wrong though.
I just got off the phone with Lonnie, and the whole system is what I am planning on going with. It's just that almost $2K is a hard pill to swallow for a fuel 'upgrade'. But, that system will hold up to anything.
I'm still curious what the current setup will hold. All else fails, if I do the lonnies system, I can always sell the current setup. Stupid horsepower game...

Also someone should make a sticky on the 8.1 bucket upgrade. I just got mine and was searching for a how-to.
Holy crap what times are you guys running these days with these rwhp numbers?
I have been out of the loop for about 1.5 years now and would like some closure to the times I put down with my (now sold GTO)...
Thanks

Never took it to the 1/4 mile track before the current build-up, but I ran 177mph at the TX mile before my valve spring went sprung.

BBGTO, are you tuned for meth, i.e. is ur timing advanced on the meth. I'm trying to make this work on twin turbos.
But i think they require more fuel pressure than blowers do... thoughts?

Yes, I am tuned on the meth injection.
Fuel pressure req. is the same. you want to see 55-62 or so psi. If you start to drop below around 50-52 be careful. I was dropping to about 46 at wot. That was when I switched to the 8.1 and added the KB to my setup (orig. had the 60lb'ers and LPE intank 255).
