FPV GT mandarin a clue for new Fusion colour?

well ford Australia has had alot of great colours recently and the blood orange and more recently the mandarin (very similar colours) have been very popular colours down here and i think the new fusion colour from holden is in response to these and will be very similar to the ford orange.

and uder the car configurer you can play around with the colours and striping options.
But heres a picture of a FPV GT in the orange. I think the monaro orange (fusion) will be very similar.

im praying that the fusion orange is the same orange that's on the monaros now.... the metallic almost GM SOM type color....that would rock :headbang:

Brazen orange is the EXACT same color that is on the current monaros and looks great on the GTO ;)

'scuse my ignorance but where are you guys getting this info on the monaro coming in this "brazen orange"??? its not on the website and i haven't heard a whisper of an updated model with this in the colour palette. I'm not doubting that it is coming but i dare say that the car shown here is a tester to see how the colour looks on the car.

Uhm that car shown above is in a dealership for sale, its a VZ. It's not called Brazen orange in AUS, for the life of me I cant remember the Aussie name of the color.

i understand that the car is in a dealership. I still think that it is a colour tester. We have the turismo blue tester monaro series 3 in my town. It used to be owned by darren lockyer (a footballer for queensland) They produce them to see what the colour looks like on the car and then they sell the car to the public.

Tiger Mica colour is being re-introduced by GMH as a new colour for the 2006 GTO.

I agree that they should bring it over, Alot of people in the US have been brainwashed that FWD is Better and now most people prefer that.

I had a friend interested in the magnum and was talking about newer cars. I mentioned it came in RWD and AWD and they said why are all these cars coming out are RWD. "why go backwards in technology" is the quote. I didn't get in an argument about it.

I have only had 1 FWD car and it was my first car. Never again will I buy something that is FWD.

im pritty sure the colour shown on the monaro is tiger mica. which was an old colour and i wouldn't think holden would go back to it.
It was very much a period colour and was popular for a while but its popularity died fast....
Usually when they bring out a new colour it is actually new... I havent really known holden or ford australia to drop a colour and then bring back the exact same colour.

Thus my reasoning for thinking it will be a different colour and would be more inline with the orange that has been very popular with ford. But i guess time will tell.

It is true that ford US should pull its head out and import the falcon but unfortunatly i don't think it will happen... by the way it doesn't come with the 4.6ltr v8 like the mustang it has the 5.4ltr with aussie components in it. which is good for around the 290kw mark or a little shy of the 400hp that you guys get from the ls2.
Has the same 6speed t56 tremec as you guys get in the monaro but with double syncros on all forward gears and has a slightly better shift.
Also has a brembo brake option with disks the size of pizzas :P. and the next version is said to be getting the 6speed auto used in jags and the aston martin DB9.
double a-arm front IRS and control blade IRS rear. Probably has one of the best if not the best interiors ever in an australian car... But the truth is i just don't think ford US want it to be an internationally competative platform.

The new fusion colour is not exactly like the Tiger colour but it similar. Holden has discontinued Odyssey and is replacing it with fusion. and also Redhot as the Trim has been discontinued and replaced with fusion. so that should be interesting...
